Internet kiosk business opportunities scam

For the last several years there were many TV commercials and Internet ads about Internet kiosk business opportunities. The idea is that any person can purchase one or more kiosks, install them in public places, sell Internet access plus some other products and make good profit.

This sounds like a good plan for many people. Some companies also successfully implemented such ideas and do make some profit. However whether this opportunity can be profitable for inexperienced entrepreneur-wannabes is very questionable.

According to a number of recent publications and lawsuits most of such business opportunity ventures turned out to be scams. In this article I will try to summarize facts about the Internet Kiosk business opportunity.

The following arguments (the arguments can either be true, very subjective or simply lies) are provided by Internet kiosk business opportunity sellers.

* Many people need Internet access wherever they go. People would like to pay for public Internet access.

* There are many potentially profitable locations – airports, malls, truck stops, nightclubs, hair salons, etc…

* People made a lot of money out of ATMs and pay phones, now is the time to profit from Internet kiosk business.

* You are just in the right place and in the right time! You are lucky to be among the first who take this incredible opportunity. Other people are already making $1000-$3000 a month. You must be not a smart businessperson if you do not take advantage of this opportunity right now!

* Investment amount ($7000-$15000 per kiosk) is very reasonable and will be paid off in a matter of 1-2 years.

* You must act now in order to secure the best locations in your area. Or other people will take this business.

* Quotes from trusted sources also support the idea:

o "250,000 to 300,000 terminals will be in service throughout the U. S. by 2005." - Frost & Sullivan

o "By the end of 2005, 71% of all users will access the Internet via an appliance such as a terminal." - eTForecasts

o "High Speed Public Access Internet Terminals may soon become as common in airports and shopping malls as pay telephones and vending machines” USA Today

o "Public Internet Access Terminals will replace not only pay phones but also banking machines, because they will offer capabilities as well as all the other highway applications, from sending and receiving messages to scanning maps and buying tickets. Access to terminals will be essential, and available everywhere" - Bill Gates

Is there is anything wrong with the opportunity? The reality makes the opportunity look different from what is being advertised:

* Not that many people actually need or want to use Internet Kiosks. There is an increasing number of other ways (wireless services, mobile phone devices, etc…) to connect to the Internet including free options offered at many places such as hotels and coffee shops. Another reason is security. A responsible person may not want to type their private information on a public Internet terminal.

* Equipment price is usually too high (100-300% more than it should be), additional expenses are underestimated (or simply not mentioned), and potential profits are highly overestimated.

* It s very likely that inexperienced people cannot operate this or any other business without high risk and losses. Kiosk equipment is much more complex than regular vending machines, therefore regular people can not be qualified for this business.

* Once equipment is bought, people are not able to get locations. When they use locator companies, many locators cannot provide good locations or do not provide any location at all after taking money for their service.

The actual Internet Kiosk Business opportunity business is to make money for the opportunity sellers. They make money by selling overpriced equipment while promising unrealistic returns. If a person or company is trying to get into the Internet kiosk business, they do not need any help from business opportunity sellers. There are many kiosk manufacturers, trade shows and conferences where one can get objective information about the business and industry. I believe there is no such thing as a turnkey business opportunity. Only a qualified person or company with extensive research and experience might be able to succeed in the Internet kiosk business.

How to become a vegas showgirl

:
All of the big Las Vegas casinos put on shows to attract crowds to the casino, and instead of hiring new dancers every time the change the show, they hire full time dancers and these girls are called Showgirls.

If you have ever thought about putting elaborate costumes and dancing in front of crowds every night, then becoming a Vegas Showgirl may be the job for you.

Being a Vegas Showgirl is not an easy job. You must be in top physical condition if you expect to be a professional dancer, and it is important to remember that not everyone will make it, becoming a professional dancer is a roll of the dice, you have better odds of winning an
Online Craps game then making it as a dancer.

There are several things you can do to help improve your chances of getting your carrier as a Las Vegas Casino dancer started:

Dance lessons, if you want to be a professional dancer you have to learn several different styles of dance, and dance them all well. This may be the hardest part to becoming a dancer. This part will take many years and require you to spend several hours a day every day taking dancing lessons.

Physical Conditioning, dancing requires lots of endurance and stamina. Besides the workouts you will get from all the dancing lessons you will take you will also need to work out on your own regularly. These workouts should include aerobic and some weight training.

Weight training should not be done to build muscle mass only for building strength and muscle toning. The best way to do this is by doing high repetition counts of low weights. This method will make the existing muscles stronger but will not bulk you up.

To pursue a carrier in dancing in a Vegas Casinos it is important to target the leg, stomach and back muscle groups. It is from these muscle groups that a dancer moves.

Diet, Dancers are required to be tossed around and lifted into the air, not to mention the fact that most dancers are skin tight and for these reasons dancers must always watch their weight.

Many Las Vegas Showgirls have to get on the scale every week and if they gain weight they could get thrown out of the show. Always remember there are many people that dream of dancing professionally, and the casinos will not hesitate to throw a girl out and replace her for the slightest reason.

Once you feel you are good enough you can start sending in resumes. A resume should include each different style of dance that you know and how long you have been doing it, and it should also include all prior dance experience.

A good way to get experience is to get yourself in as many different things you can. Local theater groups are a great way to gain experience. Getting a job as a dance instructor Is also a good way to gain experience and practice at the same time.

By sending your resume to all the different casinos you can greatly increase your chances of getting at least one audition. Do not expect to get hired at the more popular casinos on your first audition. The bigger Las Vegas casinos usually like to hire girls with more experience, so you will probably have to work as a showgirl at a smaller casino first.

Baseball products jackets

Whether to brave the elements while watching a game of baseball or just going out for a walk in the park during a particularly nifty evening, putting on a jacket is the most logical thing to do.

A jacket is a lightweight, thigh or waist-length coat that is worn by people of all ages and gender. While there are fashionable jackets, the primary reason for a wearing a jacket is its function as a protective clothing against harsh cold weather.

But, jackets carry a different meaning for baseball fans. They are not only fashion statements or a layer of clothing that assure warmth during cold season, they represent their adoration for a baseball team. When they don on this piece of protective clothing, they feel as if they are one with the team, the logo of which are mostly emblazoned on their backs or on the front panels of the jacket. Baseball fans feel a different kind of warmth, when they wear them; that has got nothing to do with the jackets' materials. It is the warmth of pride, of showing to the world that they are avid fans of a particular team, especially one that has won over and over again to set a record.

Because of its hefty price of above $50 to above $200, there are limited Major League Baseball (MLB) jackets on sale especially on the net that features team logos or emblems. But what there are that are sold are really of the best quality and craftsmanship.

There are World Series Champion leather jackets that sell for over $200. These member jackets would make the wearer feel much more a part of the team he loves the most because it gives him the feeling of exclusivity and unity with the team. This leather jacket features quality embroidery and is made of 100 percent leather shell and 100 percent polyester filler and lining.

Another type of membership jacket sold is the varsity jacket that features leather patchwork, the body of which is made of 67 percent wool and 33 percent Viscose. Its sleeves are also made of 100 percent leather.

To keep the elements cornered so there would be no escape, there is the V-neck Staff Ace lightweight pull-over windshirt with tackle twill wordmark and made of 100 percent polyester.

Fully reversible jackets are also available. The full-zip medium weight polyester-filled jacket has a fleece and polyester shell and tackle twill logos.

If there are real leather jackets, there are also faux leather jackets, both for men and women. It is made of 95 percent Polyvinyl Chloride and 5 percent Polyurethane shell face.

Ladies official jackets are also available. These transform easily into a vest just by simply zipping off the sleeves from the shoulders. This full-zip, mid-weight jacket features quality embroidery and team color piping. It also has a bungee draw cord on the hemline, a mesh lining and is made of 100 percent polyester.

A discount mp3 player you bet

Why pay hundreds of dollars for a brand name MP3 player when a discount MP3 player will offer the same functions and design without the hefty price tag to go along with it?

You don't have to sacrifice quality for price. You may not get the flaming orange model that you like, but what are you looking for? Creative and fancy packaging or the quality found inside? So, after you've given up your desire for that outrageous hot pink case, and your realize that your color options may be limited, then what? Well, make sure that the discount MP3 player you're considering will play the format that you want. Most MP3 players now operate on a flash drive system. Because of the low cost per megabyte for hard drive players, look for a format that can accept up to 30GB. That will be more than adequate for your needs, and at a fraction of the cost of an iPod.

Also make sure that you check the battery life when comparing different MP3 player models. You don't want to be caught on a long flight without enough juice in your MP3 player to play your favorite tunes or listen to your special programming. Compare discount MP3 player models available either at local stores or on the Internet. Search online forum and discussion boards to see what others are saying about the discount model you're considering. Make sure that you're willing to do without the bells and whistles if you purchase a discount MP3 player, but also realize that basically, they're all pretty much created equal.

Priced between $40 - $60, most discount MP3 player models come with as many of the basics as the more expensive models, including headphones, driver, standard carrying case and LCD screens. Most also come with USB cable and batteries and, of course, the user's manual. Many discount MP3 players also have compatible accessories, such as voice recorders and PCI adapters. Sure, color selection many be limited, but the gadget's in your pocket most of the time anyway, isn't it? And it's not about looks, it's about listening, and whatever brand you choose should be based on sound quality and nothing else.

Many discount MP3 players offer you just as much music listening capability as the other more popular, and expensive brands, but if you're not a brand-name junkie, then you probably won't care. A discount MP3 player doesn't have to mean a cheap MP3 player. By doing your homework and shopping around, you can find a discount MP3 player that will suit your needs. And then, you too can say that you came, you saw and you conquered the world of MP3 players.

How to find a good inexpensive hotel

When going on vacation somewhere you have never been it can be hard to find a good quality Hotel working on a budget. So here is a guide to help you find a good place cheap, so you don’t have to worry about where you will stay.

In my life I have done a great deal of traveling, and I have many nightmare stories about the things that have happened to me in some of the cheap hotels I have stayed in. I remember once I was ok a ski trip and half the floor in my room actually dropped about 6 inches. I woke up and my head was lower then the rest of me and was confused for several seconds before I managed to come to my senses. Lucky for me the room was on the first floor. On another trip, the police raided the hotel looking for illegal immigrants, and there was noise all night long. It was probably quiet the next night, but I did not stick around to see.

Finding a good inexpensive hotel should not be a gamble. The best way to find a good hotel is to go to a place you have been before, but assuming that is not an option the next best thing is from someone who has been there.

If you know someone who has been to the same vacation spot as you are planning on going, ask them about the place they stayed, the worst that can happen is they tell you they hated it or that it was too expensive.

But what if no one you know has ever been to where you are going to be? Unless you like to gamble, you can't just make reservations anywhere, if you are looking to gamble on something play blackjack or poker in a casino, but don’t roll the dice with the place you are going to use as your home base for your vacation.

Use the internet to look for hotel reviews. There are many websites that have reviews from people who have stayed in the hotel. Now one mans hell may be another mans heaven, but at least this way you can see that 5 people stayed there and said it was fine and two said it was not good maybe these 2 people were the exception.

Or maybe the two that did not like the hotel were in town for business in an area popular with tourists. This can be an annoying situation when everyone around you is partying and you are trying to sleep, this is one of the reason why no business is conducted in Daytona Beech during Spring Break.

Talking with a travel agent is always a great way to assure your happiness with your lodgings, and helps keep the gambling in the casinos and out of your room.

A good thing to do is to make sure to ask lots of question on the phone with any hotels you are considering staying in.

Debt help who can you turn to

While you may have been taking on unnecessary debts with the best intentions to repay them, it doesn't always work out. If you are finding yourself in unmanageable debt, you should seek help to get them under control before bankruptcy becomes your only choice. When should you seek help with your debts? If you are missing payments or barely making minimums each month, you should seek help from a credit counselor or take on a plan of action to solve your credit problems.

There are a few options when it comes to taking control of your debts. You can do so by you setting up a reasonable, workable budget and allocating funds to pay off your bills to the best of your abilities. Remember, making only minimum payments won't reduce your balance by much, since interest is added onto your balance every month. However, a minimum payment ensures that your accounts are in good standing and will keep creditors from hassling you.

Self-Help Guides

There are many self-help guides at your local bookstore or website for those who would like to manage their debts on their own. You can also try contacting your creditors to explain your situation. You might be surprised by the results of simply giving them a phone call.

However, most individuals seek the help of a credit professional. These days, there are many credit counseling agencies to choose from. An agent will help you create a working budget and will figure out a plan to get your debts under control. They will usually contact your creditors to renegotiate payment terms that are more manageable for your budget.

Help with Your Creditors

Your credit counselor may also enlist you in a debt management program. In this program, they will add up your monthly payments and figure out the exact amount that you owe each month. You will make just one payment to the credit counseling agency and they will pay your creditors on your behalf. This is especially helpful for those who have trouble keeping up with the number of creditors they have.

You can find a legitimate credit counseling agency by doing your research online. Find agencies that have positive ratings by asking others for recommendations. Ask questions about fees and accreditation, and how long they have been in business. Usually, agencies that have been around for a while will most likely be reputable. Usually, not-for-profit credit counseling agencies are your best bet.

Pay off Your Balances

Another option is to get a consolidation loan to pay off your balances in full. Your only obligation from that point on is to send in your monthly payment to pay the consolidation loan. Some people take on a consolidation loan in the form of home equity lines of credit or personal loans. If your consolidation loan interest rate is lower than the rates that you are currently paying, you will save money in the long run.

Whichever alternative you choose, remember that it is okay to ask for help. Bankruptcy can lead to many problems and will leave a bad mark on your credit report for up to a decade. The best thing to do is know when to seek help before it is too late. The federal government has some helpful information for those with credit or debt problems, so check out some of their publications for more resources.

Advancing to the major league rvs

We have always liked to camp going back to when the children were young. We started out with a pop-up camper that we could pull behind our mini van. The children use to love to spend the weekends in some nearby campground where they met lots of new fiends.

As the years progressed we traded up to a truck camper. This camper slid onto the bed of our pick-up truck and the children could ride in the camper on our way to our destination. We had this camper for several years until the children began to loose interest in weekend camping. Teenagers like to spend the weekends at the mall with their friends instead of with mom and dad in the woods somewhere.

We eventually sold the truck camper and purchased a camper trailer that we could pull with our truck for short trips. Most of the time we would leave it parked in a nearby campground for the summer season. A lot of our friend would do the same in nearby lots.

Now that we are near retirement age, we would like to buy a motor home and do some serious traveling. We do not like the idea of pulling our camper trailer any long distances. So we began our search for RV sales and service in our area. We visited several RV sales in Georgia, RV sales North Carolina, RV sales South Carolina, and all of the local camper and RV sales. We also checked the online RV sales.

The internet gave us information on Maine RV sales, Indiana RV sales, Montana RV sales, and RVs for sale in Texas. Although every dealer offered good prices, which were very similar, we decided that it would be best to do our buying close to home. We decided that we could get better service from a local dealer if we purchased the vehicle from that dealer.

So after looking at several models, sizes, and manufacturers, we still could not make a decision. We had it narrowed down to a couple of models, so our dealer suggested that we try out two of their rental units to see which one we liked the best. This was a good idea. It was very helpful in making our decision.

So now we are major leaguers and are ready to hit the road in our new motor home. We are looking forward to many enjoyable years of retirement.

The importance of saving money for the future

Money in my opinion is not the most important thing in life, but it is nice to know that you have a certain amount of money, saved or invested, which you can use if needed. I actually think that health and happiness are the two most important things in life. Having this pool of money helps to keep me healthy and happy, as it means that I do not have to stress as much about the future.

I only really realised the importance of investing and saving money, when I was twenty-three years of age. Up until this age, I would always spend all of my wages and did not care if I was overdrawn in the bank. I used to think that I could die tomorrow, so why bother about saving money which I might not ever use. This is a bit stupid, I know.

At the age of twenty-three, on one particular day, I was having a conversation with a friend called Tim. He basically earned the same amount of money as I did and lived a similar lifestyle. Tim told me that he was thinking of buying a flat and that he was going to cash in his investment bond to help fund the move. I was very shocked that he even had a bond and asked him how long he had had the bond, and how he had managed to get the money to put into it. I expected Tim to tell me that his parents had given him the money, but they hadn't, he had saved up the money himself.

Tim told me that he tries to save as much money as he can per month and normally manages to save at least Ј100. When he has a Ј1000 saved in the bank, he then invests the money into a bond.

I was very impressed with Tim and I have to admit a little bit jealous of his money. I then thought to myself, if Tim can save, then so can I. I set myself a goal of saving up a Ј1000 and planned to do this within ten months. I had to be less wreckless with my money and it would be a good test for me.

It did not prove to be that difficult and it was a good feeling seeing a healthy bank balance for once. After only eight months I had saved my target of Ј1000. Instead of putting it into a bond, I decided to take an even bigger risk and to buy some shares. I am happy to say that two years later the share price of the company I had chosen to invest in, had risen by sixty percent. This I have to admit was pure luck as I had simply guessed at who to invest in. The company I chosen had had a dismal few years and its share price was at its lowest ever level. I had heard that the company had recently had some major changes at the top and I decided to gamble just on these few facts.

That was my first experience of investing and it gave the taste for it. I have regularly been buying and selling shares as well as investing in unit trusts for around ten years now. It has also become like a kind of sport or hobby for me, as I am trying to always pick a winner. I have won some and lost some but have had a huge amount of fun along the way.

I now have a certain amount invested in different ways and when for example I have a big car repair bill, I have no need to panic as all I need to do, is to cash in some of the units of my unit trust. That is what I like about a unit trust, unlike with an endowment policy where you need to wait until the end of the term to have access to your money, with a unit trust you can take out all or just some of your units at anytime that you want.

Before I started to save up money, I would often get quite stressed about the future. How would I be able to buy a house? How will I be able to buy a decent car? These are just two of many questions I would ask myself. I would try to ignore the questions by saying to myself that at that stage of my life, I should be earning more money.

I am now very happy that I had that conversation with Tim. Investing money in the way that I do has helped me to get onto the property ladder and also helps to fund my yearly holiday abroad for my family. It also gives me a peace of mind for the future and helps to to sleep easier at night.

Making summer reading fun and exciting

Asking most kids to pick up a book during July or August is like asking them to clean their room or eat their Brussels sprouts. Fortunately, there's a simple solution to the quandary of summer reading lists: Stock them with titles that are fun and challenging and encourage kids to look beyond a book's covers.

"A Treasure's Trove" (Treasure Trove, Inc.) by Michael Stadther is one such book to consider. A beautifully illustrated fairy tale suitable for children of all ages, it became a New York Times best-seller, captured the hearts and imaginations of children and families and, through clues hidden in its pages, inspired a nationwide treasure hunt. At the request of teachers and librarians, the author has read it to children at hundreds of schools throughout North America and at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.

The story, which appeals to both boys and girls, takes place in the Great Forest and tells a sweet (and sometimes sad) tale of friendship and greed, good and dark fairies and how love can overcome fear. There is plenty of action and suspense, plus beautiful fairies and romance. The book is all about family values, love and cooperation, loyalty and friendship. It teaches children the importance of saving the forests, about working together to accomplish their goals and that they need not be afraid of the dark.

"This book's value is truly in the words and excitement on the kids' faces," said Katie Mullins, a 3rd grade teacher at Degan Elementary School in Lewisville, Texas.

Now Available:

Free Teachers' Guide & Books

Because children quickly and easily gravitate to the book's characters and themes, teachers asked the author if he could provide additional "Treasure Trove" material for classroom use. In response, "A Treasure's Trove Teachers' Guide," developed in conjunction with a panel of leading educational advisors in the U. S., is now available for download at atreasurestrove. com/schools.

Intended as an enrichment tool, it is chock-full of puzzles and activities in such subject areas as reading comprehension, poetry, music composition, map reading and drawing, problem solving and critical thinking. The first 1,000 educators to register online for the new guide will receive a free copy of "A Treasure's Trove," "A Puzzle Book Companion" and the "Official Solution Book to A Treasure's Trove."

In September 2006, the book's sequel, "Secrets of the Alchemist Dar," will be released-this time accompanied by a worldwide treasure hunt. Once again, Stadther will visit schools to read the book to students in grades 3 and up. Teachers and principals interested in having the author visit their schools should sign up early by visiting atreasurestrove. com/schools.

"A Treasure's Trove" is available in hard - and softcover at major bookstores and Amazon. com.

What is refractive eye surgery

Refractive eye surgery is a type of eye surgery that is used to rectify refractive errors of the eye and decrease dependency on corrective lenses such as eyeglasses and contact lenses. Successful refractive procedures can reduce myopia or nearsightedness, hyperopia or farsightedness, and astigmatism or elongated corneas. A number of different procedures exist for refractive eye surgery depending upon the type and severity of the refractive error.

There are four main types of refractive eye surgery procedures: flap and photoablation procedures; corneal incision procedures; thermal procedures; and implants. Currently, the most common refractive eye surgeries involve the use of lasers to reshape the cornea.

Flap procedures involve cutting a small flap in the cornea so that the tissue underneath can be reshaped to correct the refractive error. LASIK, short for Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis, is the most popular refractive surgery and is used to correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The LASIK procedure involves using a microkeratome or IntraLase to cut a flap into the stroma, moving the flap out of the way, removing excess corneal tissue with an excimer laser, then replacing and smoothing out the flap. LASEK is best suited for individuals with thin or flat corneas. The LASEK procedure uses a small trephine blade to cut into the shallow epithelium, after which the eye is bathed in a mild alcohol solution to soften the edges of the epithelium. The flap is gently moved out of the way so that an excimer laser can remove excess corneal tissue, after which the flap is replaced and smoothed out. Epi-LASIK, like LASEK, involves a shallow cut into the epithelium, but makes use of epikeratome to create a thin epithelium sheet for removal instead of the harsher blade and alcohol.

Photoablation, the second stage in flap procedures, makes use of ultraviolet radiation to remove excess corneal tissue. PRK, or photorefractive keratectomy, was the original laser eye surgery procedure. PRK involves numbing the eye with local anesthetic eye drops, and reshaping the cornea by destroying miniscule amounts of tissue from the surface of the eye. The laser used, an excimer laser, is a computer-controlled ultraviolet beam of light. It burns cool so as not to heat up and damage the surrounding eye tissue.

Corneal incision procedures such as radial keratotomy and arcuate keratotomy use miniscule incisions in the cornea to alter its surface and correct refractive errors. Radial keratotomy, or RK, uses a diamond tipped knife to make a number of spoke-shaped incisions in the cornea. The result of the incisions is that the cornea flattens out, minimizing the effects of myopia. Arcuate keratotomy, or AK, is very similar to RK. The diamond knife is used to cut incisions that are parallel to the edge of the cornea, as opposed to the spoke-shaped incisions of the RK procedure. These procedures have been much less common with the emergence of laser-assisted refractive eye surgeries.

Thermal procedures use heat to correct temporarily hyperopic refractive errors, or farsightedness. The thermal keratoplasty procedure involves putting a ring of 8 or 16 small burns on the eye immediately surrounding the pupil. The application of the heat increases the slope of the cornea, making it steeper, through thermal contractions. There are two main types of thermal keratoplasty. Laser Thermal Keratoplasty, or LTK, is a no-touch procedure that uses a holmium laser. Conductive Keratoplasty, or CK, uses a high-frequency electric probe.

The final type of refractive eye surgery involves the use of implants. Implantable contact lenses, or ICL, can be used to correct severe levels of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The implants are actually tiny contact lenses that are inserted through a small incision in the side of the cornea. Implants are seated so they sit immediately in front of the eye's natural lens just behind the cornea. ICL works in conjunction with the eye’s natural lens to refocus light on the retina and produce a crystal clear image.

Each of these procedures has its advantages and disadvantages, and not all individuals are suitable candidates for refractive eye surgery. Individuals who are interested in learning more about surgical options should contact their ophthalmologist for more information about these procedures, as well as inquire about other new cutting-edge procedures. Since ophthalmologic surgery is constantly growing and changing with emergence of new technologies and methods, there are always new techniques in development. As new equipment is developed and methods refined that can improve the success and minimize the side effects of refractive eye surgery, new procedures will emerge to replace outdated techniques.

Getting reimbursed for your pain and suffering in a car accident

Strong, and you’re going to be paid for your loss by Strong’s employer, Rock Solid Insurance. A good portion of it will be for your "Pain and Suffering". That is, in the lingo of insurance claim settlements, your "Compensatory Damages". Let's talk about that:

BODILY INJURY PAIN: How much pain can an individual stand? The answer to that is: Reaction to pain not only differs with each of us, but often within each of us. While pain can usually be scientifically measured, the limits of human endurance cannot. We all have a different "Pain Threshold" - - that is, the point at which we begin to feel physical distress as we enter into, and then deal with, a period of suffering.

A lot depends on what's going on in your life and how you experience it. Temperament and psychological factors are involved. Like, for example, your personal life is in a shambles (for any number of reasons) and that has hindered your ability to recover. Or, perhaps the company you work for is on the brink of bankruptcy!

The mechanism through which you feel an injury is so complicated that there are times when the same pain appears to be more (or less) than that of previous days. For example: one day you have a problem that causes you to complain endlessly. This makes you impossible to live with and your pain seems to be much stronger. Yet, a similar situation on a much better day, doesn’t upset you so profoundly and the pain is not nearly as bad.

YOUR "PAIN AND SUFFERING" (Your “Compensatory Damages“): The type of injury you suffered, as a result of Fred Fuddle crashing into you (plus the nature and length of your treatment) are two of the best indicators for both the adjuster and Rock Solid Insurance to consider regarding the "Pain and Suffering" you experienced. However, there are several other areas you should call to the attention of Adjuster Strong so as to make him aware of what you've been dealing with.

MEDICATION: The fact that you were prescribed either over-the-counter or prescription medication by Ole’ “Doc” Comfort, your family physician, to relieve pain, inflammation (and/or any other injury symptoms), will help to convince I. M. Strong that your injuries were serious and caused you to endure a great deal of "Pain and Suffering". No matter which way you slice that cake, the more powerful the medication, and the longer it’s prescribed for, the greater the value your claim will be. That's a fact of life in the business of insurance claims.

LENGTH OF RECOVERY: The longer your recovery period, the greater your "Pain and Suffering"- - therefore the higher the settlement value of your bodily injury. Make sure “Doc” Comfort clearly indicates this in his Final Medical Report. Tell him he must state in writing (via the weeks and months) how long it will be, before you were able to engage in your routine activities. Make sure he doesn't send that report directly to Adjuster Strong. You get it first and then later on you’ll send it along to Strong. But, before you do, read it. If good Ole’ “Doc” Comfort hasn't clearly stated this, hand it back to him and tell him he must. You have every right to insist that he does. You're paying his bills, it's your report, your insurance claim, and your big bucks he's not being serious about!

As long as you continue to have physical problems you should keep going back to see your doctor, again and again, and again ! Other than the obvious "Pain and Suffering" it will help to convince Rock Solid Insurance you’ve endured, there are two other very good reasons for doing this. They are as follows:

(1) The fact that your records show visit’s to your doctor, four, six, eight (or even more) weeks after the accident, will convince Adjuster Strong and Rock Solid that your injury took a long time to deal and required continual attention. (Plus it clearly indicates each and every day you were unable to work and therefore it proves, beyond the shadow of any doubt, the income you lost). Never forget: Your attending physician’s Medical Report is the only way you can prove you were unable to work and in any court of law that will justify your claim for lost wages.

(2) When you visit “Doc” Comfort be sure to tell him there's been little (if any!) decrease of your pain, discomfort, stiffness or immobility. Make sure, when he does execute that Final Medical Report, this is clearly stated in his written remarks. If it isn't you have every right to go back, hand it to him and insist that it is.

SCARS: In many instances large and obvious scaring increase's the value of your claim (big time!) - - especially if the scarred portion of your body is visible. If you've been sitting at a desk for 25 years, your chin is double, your hair is gone, and you own a bulging stomach, and that’s where the scar is, it’s not going to be worth much. But, if you're a tall, dark and handsome, twenty year old and the scar is on your face, than it's worth a ton. Take colored photographs of every scar and every scrape that causes swelling and/or discoloration to your skin plus every mark on your body! After you’ve handed a copy of those photographs to Adjuster I M. Strong he’ll be sending them to his boss in the Home Office. I’ve been in that seat so I can flat out guarantee you his immediate superior in the home office will stare at those photo’s and gulp. He’ll blanch, take a deep breath and send Strong a one liner that reads something like: “Do whatever it takes to get rid of this one. Se! ttle it and let‘s move on.”

If the scar is bad enough insist that Dr. Comfort refer you to a Plastic Surgeon for an opinion as to whether your scar can be repaired and/or removed. Once you've been examined ask that Specialist to detail in writing (and insist that he send his report to you) how much it will cost to make it look right again. You may never get it repaired, and/or removed, but include that Plastic Surgeon's report, plus copies of the bills you’ve accumulated because of your visits to him, and hand them to Adjuster Strong. This will absolutely, positively give your claim more value !

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS REGARDING OBTAINING THE SERVICES OF A LAWYER:

QUESTION: “Is it necessary to obtain the services of an attorney who will take a cut of 33 1/3% of the settlement (in some states up to 50%) he recovers from the insurance company of the individual who struck you“? ANSWER: “Yes, there are some situations where it makes sense to do so“. HOWEVER: Especially in a case where the impact is absolutely not your fault in any way, shape, manor or form - - you should be clear with the lawyer you choose that those out-of-pocket expenses you would have been paid (weather they represented you or not) should not be part of his settlement!

Let’s say, for example: You were at a dead stop while waiting for a light to change from red to green, when struck a tremendous blow in the rear by a distracted driver. It’s 100% clear to all concerned that the damages you received will be paid by the insurance company of the individual that struck you.

The property damage to your motor vehicle is $2,800, your lost wages are $450, your final Doctor’s bill (plus all your other Out-Of-Pocket “Medical Expenses”) comes to $750 for a total (Property Damages/Lost Wages/Medical Bills) of $4,000. you live in an area where the lawyers typical “Contingency Fee” is 33 1/3%. QUESTION: “Should that lawyer take 33/13% ($1,333.33) of that $4,000“? ANSWER: “No“! QUESTION: “Why not“? ANSWER: “Because you were going to get that $4,000 weather there was an attorney representing you or not“! In a situation where the liability is clear the attorney should take, as his fee, 33 1/3% of everything he gets above and beyond , that $4,000!

So, let’s say the attorney obtained a settlement of $4,800 for your “Pain and Suffering”. When that figure is added to the $4,000 of Out-Of-Pocket Expenses (as detailed above) the total would come to $8,800. To be fair he should not take 1/3 of $8,800 ($2,933.33 - - thus leaving you with $5,866.66) but 1/3 of the $4,800 ($1,600 - - thus leaving you with $7,200). QUESTION: “What has he done to earn that additional $1,333.34“? ANSWER: “Absolutely nothing”!

What to look for when shopping for kid s bedding

When choosing kids' bedding, your first step should be to consider your child's tastes. After all, a child's room is often an extension of her personality. Does your daughter like a particular color? Does she prefer a certain style? If you follow your child's lead, she will lead you to the perfect kids' bedding.

Kids' bedding is available in a variety of designs, from cartoon characters to outer space. When selecting a design you must consider longevity. While your daughter might love Strawberry Shortcake this week, you have to think about the future as well. If you don't mind replacing the bedding frequently, character bedding is fine; otherwise consider themes or patterns that can grow with your child.

Most children's books, television, and movie characters are available on kids' bedding (Barbie, Bratz, Gl Joe, Batman, Spiderman, Disney Princess, Lion King, Yu-Gi-Oh, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Mickey Mouse, Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Simpsons, etc. ). Before committing yourself to expensive character bedding, try to decide if your child's love of the character is here to stay or just a passing phase.

While a child might quickly outgrow her love of a popular television character, she is more likely to remain fond of flowers or clouds. Here is a partial list of popular themes for kids' bedding: teddy bears, nature, ocean, military, solar system, insects, fairies, flowers, games etc.

Kids' bedding is also available in an assortment of non-themed patterns. Patterns range from soft pastel flowers to wild neon abstracts. Popular patterns for kids' bedding include polka dots, hearts, checks, circles, cow prints, plaid, stripes, and abstract designs. A well-chosen pattern can last all the way through the teen years.

Most kids' bedding is sold in coordinating sets and includes fitted sheet, top sheet, bed ruffle, pillow shams, and comforter. Other sets might include a quilt or bed spread instead of a comforter. All three are used for the same purposes, but comforters are usually thicker. Selection will likely depend on personal preference and climate. Most stores also sell coordinating accessories, including shower curtains, wall hangings, waste baskets, and throw pillows.

Kids' bedding is widely available. Some toy stores also sell kids' bedding. If your child sleeps on a twin - or full-sized bed, you will find that kids' bedding is readily available. If, however, your child's bed is larger, you might have to special order the bedding or opt for patterns.

If you prefer to do your shopping online, there are a variety of websites selling kids' bedding. A search on any search engine will find thousands of outlets offering bedding. The following is a list of popular kids' bedding sites: Company Kids (offers a nice selection of kids' bedding, divided into a boys' and a girls' section; the site also sells furniture and accessories; they are a great source if you are looking for kids' designs that are not based on licensed characters), Bombay Kids (offers kids' bedding and furniture in a nice selection of themes and patterns; many items can be personalized), Olive Kids (is a fun site offering kids' bedding and furniture in themes such as dinosaurs, heroes, cowboys, and princesses).

Choosing a kid’s bed can be a daunting task for parents because there are so many options in style and design from which to choose. When faced with the decision, considering other uses and future uses for the child’s room, space limitations, safety, budget, and finally, your child’s wants and needs should lead you to the perfect selection!

Lets save money on scrapbooking

Have you always wanted to discover more about saving cash with Scrapbooking Then I am certain you have come to the correct spot.

This short article will be of use to you as it explains some fundamental principles in a basic, clear, appealing fashion. Hope you like it.

Scrapbooking has captured the hearts - and pocketbooks - of numerous artistic crafters. How frequently do we skim the sales flyers of well-known craft stores? Our eyes light up when we see scrapbook articles listed there. Yes! We are on our way, but unfortunately it is hard to buy just those items listed on the sales flyer. There are so many things that would be perfect for that page that is vivid in our minds eye.

Do not despair. You do not have to devastate your savings account to produce that special page which will journal those significant moments for generations to come. Here are some unique ways to keep your wallet safe while creating really individual works of art.

What could be a better location for journalizing the events of a wedding than items from the wedding itself hang on to the napkins, programs, ribbons, invitations, etc. from the weddings, bridal showers, baby showers or birthday parties you go to. Use them to relate the story of the memorable events that you are preserving so beautifully. You will have wonderful content absolutely free.

There is power in numbers try networking. You most probably have friends who scrapbook. Get together and buy items bulk or wholesale and divide the cost. Check out online mark down stores and look out for free shipping sites for additional savings. Friends help friends save money, eh!

What you have learned has the ability to change the way you see Scrapbooking in the future, it is not as costly as it seems at first. And there is more to come...

Shun craft stores, I am not talking about giving up crafting, but craft stores are not the only places out there that sell the ribbons and papers that you want. Check at your neighborhood dollar stores. You will be amazed at the amount of commonly used items stocking their shelves. You may want to get online and look in on the many mark down stores on the Web. Keep a sharp eye for bargains on your daily shopping excursions to trim dollars from your scrap booking expenses.

Those one-time items are not really cost effective so stock up on multiple use items. You will be able to get more for your money if you keep items on hand that will go with a mixture of styles. When you are shopping, opt for basic papers and ribbons that will work for birthdays, weddings, and summer vacations. You will save time, gas money, and will not be tempted to succumb on seductive impulse items.

Treasure hunting is a lot of fun, but you have got to keep your eyes open to get the gold. Watch for end-of-season, or after-the-holiday sales. Those red velvet Christmas ribbons would be perfect for a Valentine page. Do not be afraid to browse the aisles of local thrift stores. Have you tried looking for free samples, most marketing companies give out loads of free samples? You never know what you will discover until you set out to explore.

You can still have fun, and be economical as well. Watchful shoppers get what they want - without shelling out too much money.

I hope you have found this advice helpful and gained something of value from the article.

In case there is any particular section that is not clear enough, or that you would like to know more about, please write to let me know and I will try and update the article or write another one getting into greater detail.

How to avoid common personal banking mistakes

Using a bank can really save you money, but there are also ways in which you lose a lot of money. If you are not proactive in recognising potential dangers and mistakes, then you could be caught out. Here are some of the most common personal banking mistakes and how to avoid them.

Not reviewing your statements

Many people get their statement each month, open it and then throw it away. If you don't look at your statements properly then you will not see mistakes on your account that could be costing you a lot of money. If there is a payment that you did not make then you could be charged a fee, and there is also a chance that you card has been copied. Checking your statements against all your purchases each month is imperative.

Paying too much

Many people are too lazy to shop around or to question the fees that they pay each month on their accounts. If you look at the fees you pay you might find that you are paying far too much. If this is the case then it is time to shop around for a better deal, because you could save yourself a lot of money each year just by not paying expensive banking fees.

Leaving paper around

When you look at your bank statement or open bank related information, make sure that you don't leave it lying around. If you carelessly discard information relating to your account then you are an easy target for identity thieves and fraudsters. Make sure that you keep all bank related information in a safe place, and shred any documents that you are going to throw away.

Using ATMs without care

When using an ATM, make sure that you take precautions. Do not write down your PIN number anywhere near your card, and make sure that you shield your number when you type it in. Being aware of people around you when using an ATM can stop most potential crime.

Banking online in public

Although you might need to check your account urgently, checking your online account and carrying out transactions on a wireless network is not totally secure. There is a chance that someone could access your details, or that the transaction will be lost. Use your online banking at home if at all possible.

Not establishing a relationship

If you want to get the best deals from your bank, then you need to establish a relationship with them. If you have a local branch, then arrange a meeting with the bank manager so that you know who they are. Although you might never need their help, if there are any problems or you need extra funds then knowing your bank manager can really help.

Only borrowing from your bank

If you have been loyal to one bank for a while, then perhaps it is time to rethink that loyalty. Although you might think your bank offers the best deal, whenever you want to purchase a new financial product you should shop around. There are many other places, particularly online, that can offer you great deals on borrowing money from credit cards or loans. If you are careful with your banking information and shop around for the best deals, then you can avoid most of these common personal banking mistakes.

Securing that fixed rate mortgage

These days buying a house is like gaining a degree in finance. Thanks to the fact that most of us are unable to afford a house all on our own, we have to do the rounds of the various loan providers. Finding great loans and mortgages from the millions that crowd our mailboxes is quite a task. You have to keep your eyes open all the time. And you have to weigh each option as objectively as you can. In addition, you do get to find out about all kinds of loans that are put out there for the buyer's convenience. It is a confusing world, but you have to make the most of it.

While searching for great mortgages with which to buy my home, I came across a very interesting concept. The fixed rate mortgage caught my eye from among the hordes of mortgages that I had come across. What attracted me to this particular mortgage type was the fact that I knew exactly how much I would have to pay every month. It made it easier for me to plan how I would utilize my finances. Sure, unlike in the case of flexible rates, I would not be able to benefit from the market situation when the rates dropped. However, on the plus side, I would not have to cough up greater amounts for when the interest rates decided to rise again.

Of course, the rates do vary from time to time. The market situation is a great determinant of the interest rates that you will have to pay. However, other aspects such as the amount that you are seeking to borrow, your own credit history, and your employment situation will also go a long way in determining how much you will end up paying.

Also, do remember that fixed rate mortgages are generally more expensive than adjustable rate mortgages. Moreover, the longer the duration of your mortgage, the more expensive it will be. Do note that you will be tied to the mortgage for the duration of the term. However, if you are keen to pay off the loan earlier than the due date, you will probably have to pay a prepayment penalty.

If a fixed rate mortgage is not your cup of tea, you could take a look at adjustable rate mortgages or interest only mortgages or whatever other mortgage types catch your fancy. There are mortgage plans to suit everybody. You just have to look exhaustively, in the right places, and check with the right people.

E-banks that accept us casino players

Recently, the US Federal government banned online casinos from operating in America by making it illegal to transfer money to them through any US bank or payment system. As a result of this law, most of the popular online casino networks such as Party Gaming and PlayTech left the United States. Overnight, online casino players found themselves being chased by the Federal government.

But, after a fortnight, the online casino industry came up with a solution and new online casinos started taking root. These began to operate under a different business umbrella, and by doing that, rendered the transfer of money to and from them legal. A major part of this was enlisting electronic banking systems that would accept this new clarification and start doing business with me. Listed in this article are the electronic banking systems that accept players from the United States that wish to play in online casinos.

The Payment Systems You Can Use:

1, 2) MasterCard and Visa:

The most popular credit cards in the world, you can use these for depositing money into your casino account. But, please note that the casinos do not deposit your winning through your credit card. They use one of the other electronic payment systems. This is also the biggest reason why you should refrain from using your personal credit cards today for gambling.

3, 4) Visa Delta, Visa Electron:

These are debit cards that one can use to deposit cash into their casino account. By debit card, it means that the money you pay through the card, is immediately withdrawn from your bank account. This is a comfortable option, but here too, you cannot receive money into it.

5) Neteller:

Based in the UK and traded on the London AIM Stock Exchange, this e-bank company is one of the major independent electronic banking entities in the world, and it allows players to transfer money to and from an online casino.

6) Neteller Instacash

This is Neteller's version of the Debit Card, and, in fact, it is just like any other debit card with one difference. To use, InstaCash, you have to pay a small amount. But, most casinos will offer to pay this for you, so read their regulations.

7) EcoCard

Based in the European Union, EcoCard offers a wider range of electronic banking solutions than the other e-banks. Other than the regular card and debit system, you can decide beforehand how to create a flexible financial account. Because they use a wide network of banks in Europe, transactions made through EcoCard are quick and efficient.

8) FirePay

This e-banking system is solely web-based and carries out its transactions just like a debit card. You place cash into your FirePay account, and then, you can use that money to pay or deposit into your casino account. While it will not cost you a dime to open an account, you will be charged a minimal amount each time you transfer money from your bank account to FirePay.

9) Moneybookers

All you need to open an account is an email address! This e-banking system uses transactions from your credit or debit card or your bank account to whichever company you wish to move your money to. Regulated in the UK and run by Gatcombe Park Ventures Limited, this is one of the relatively new e-finance companies that allow transferring money to online casinos.

10) eWalletXpress:

Owned and run by Navaho Networks Inc, eWalletXpress is a new electronic payment system that has been created to answer the need for US players to transfer funds to online casinos.

11) 900Pay:

This is a completely different e-banking system. Instead of charging your bank account or your credit card, 900Pay charges your telephone bill for all your financial transactions. This is one of the fastest methods of electronic payment because you do not have to go through a long and detailed sign up process. And, if you were wondering, this does work to fund your casino account.

Preparing for appraisals contracts and comps

You’ve sold your home and are getting ready for the appraisal. Here’s how contracts and comparable home sales impact the appraisal.

Your Contract

One of the indications of value an appraiser takes into consideration is the contract that exists between unrelated parties for the sale and purchase of the home. As odd as this may sound, sales between relatives often downgrade an appraisal amount. So if you’re not selling your home to a relative, make a nice clean copy of your contract, and give it to the appraiser who appraises your home.

Comparable Sales

In general, when you are selling your primary residence, the person buying it is going to make it his primary residence, too. An appraisal done in that situation usually gives the most value to what similar houses have sold for in the same neighborhood (or nearby) recently, and doesn’t pay much attention to the ability of the property to generate rental income or to what it would cost to replace it.

Therefore, the appraiser is going to be looking for homes which have sold in your area in the past few months. If you know of a sale of a similar home at a good price, tell the appraiser about it. Make sure your information is accurate first, however. Don’t just share neighborhood gossip. Check the sales price at the courthouse.

Be careful how you handle these last two suggestions. You want to come across as quietly helpful and factual. You do not want to convey to the appraiser that you question his ability to do his job well.

Baseball cards make great collectibles

For more than a hundred years, baseball cards have been an inimitable part of the American society. These cards have made progress in the last ten years, to provide to the collector, the opportunity to see the pictures as well as the statistics of their favorite players.

Quite a number of collectors would get tired of collecting the conventional baseball card layout and as such the manufacturing companies of these cards had to discover something in order to increase the sale of their cards. These companies have found that ‘something’ by adding a number of improvements to the cards. A variety of rare cards are offered by these companies as they have discovered that the buyers often go after rare and extraordinary cards. Let us take an example. A number of methods have been adopted by Topps, the leading company of the cards, to attract the buyers. In the most recent set of cards by Topps, some of these sets include the signatures of many players so that when you buy the cards you may have the chance to get the autographed cards.

Baseball cards are so much in demand now because of all the above stared prospects. Nowadays, specialized memorabilia cards are available in limited prints. Moreover, these cards are quite expensive also. There are certain extraordinary cards of the finest players which are sold hundreds of dollars. Furthermore, it is not obligatory that game-used memorabilia cards have to come from the players who played at the time when these cards were produced.

Other great sports collectibles include helmets, banners, snow globes, waste baskets, and wall clocks. To see a variety of these items, please visit our online store at: sports-collectibles-store. com/NFL_Tire_Covers-p-1-c-19.html. Sports memorabilia is fun to collect, but it is also great to give as a gift. Whether it be for the holidays or a special birthday, sports collectibles are perfect!

How a first aid kit saved my life

A couple of years back I went on a mountain trip, alone. I had walked the same path before as I intended that beautiful morning in May. I parked my car on the parking lot and put on my gear. This particular path was one of the more difficult ones, and I did not meet anyone else out there in the wilderness. After a two hour walk uphill I arrived at a cave entrance that I had passed several times in the past, but never had stopped and entered.

This day was different; I stopped, by coincidence, because my legs were a bit sore from a trip two days earlier, and I stopped to stretch out. As I was standing there my eyes caught the cave entrance; and for some reason I decided to take a closer look into the cave. Before going in I learned that my flashlight was missing from my backpack; and that should have stopped me from going in, but I said to my self that I would only go in as far as the light from the entrance went.

I remember going in; and the next minute I woke up on my side, in total darkness and with pain all over my body. I had gotten a big bump on my head that gave me a pounding headache. Not anything dangerous. I tried to get up, but a burning pain from my left leg stopped me instantly.

I found out very quickly that my left leg was totally wet from a continuing bloodstream from a wound on my thigh. Now I started to get worried. I found a lighter in my backpack, and I could inspect my wounds more closely. I didn’t look good.

Luckily I always bring a first aid kit with me. My wife made me. I was able to stop the bleeding by putting a pressure bandage around my leg. And for the next two days I survived with the food and water I also carried with me. I can tell you that a lot goes on in your mind when you are in a situation like that. Will I be found? Am I to die here? Will I ever see my family again?

My wife had called the police when I did not show up at home at expected time. And luckily I had told here the location where I went. They found my car and started a search. The next day I heard someone yell into the cave. Do I need to say I felt an enormous relief? I yelled back and can not describe the gratitude I felt for being alive in that moment.

Apparently I had taken a step into the darkness and had fallen 20 feet down. The paramedics told me I had lost a lot of blood, and that without the pressure bandage I would have bleed to dead.

I can truly say that a first aid kit saved my life that day. So if you are in doubt getting a first aid kit or not – don’t be.

Thank you for you time.

Why you should book your oahu vacation rental online

Have you recently made the decision to take an Oahu trip? If you haven’t already done so, you will need to start making your Oahu trip reservations. Although your first thought impulse may be to obtain the services of a travel agent, did you know that you don’t necessarily have to? If you would like, you could easily book your own Oahu trip reservations. You can do this online.

If you would like to book your Oahu trip reservations online, you will see that you have a number of different options. One of those options is by booking all of your reservations separately and directly. For instance, if you would like to stay at an Oahu vacation resort, you will need to find an Oahu vacation resort that can offer you what you need, find their online website, and then book your reservations online. The same can be done for airline reservations. Although this method will get you your Oahu vacation reservations, it isn’t necessarily the easy way. If you are interested in renting an Oahu vacation home, it can be quite difficult to find and search for available Oahu vacation rentals. That is why you may want to consider using an online travel website.

Online travel websites are websites that connect internet users with the services and accommodations that they need while on vacation, including Oahu vacation rentals. In fact, if you are traveling to Oahu, vacation rental reservations are not all that you can make online. By visiting a popular Hawaiian travel website, you should also be able to make your airline reservations and much more. What is nice about online travel websites is that most allow you to search for exactly what you want. For instance, if you need an Oahu vacation rental that has four bedrooms, you can easily find one, often with just the click of a mouse. Once you have found what you needed, you can easily book and confirm your reservations online, often in a matter of minutes.

Now that you know how you can go about booking your Oahu vacation and Oahu vacation rental reservations online, you may be wondering why you should. As previously mentioned, booking your Oahu vacation rental reservations online will save you time. Even if you use the services of a travel agent, you will still need to be in constant contact with your travel agent, relaying your wants and needs to them. Unfortunately, this can get time consuming. Since you already know what you want or what you don’t want, you can greatly benefit from making your own vacation reservations online. Eliminating a middle man will automatically save you time, but add in the internet and you will save even more time!

In addition to saving yourself time, you could also save yourself a fairly decent amount of money, by booking your next Oahu vacation and Oahu vacation rental reservations online. A large number of online Hawaii travel websites offer discounted deals and vacation packages. With a standard discounted deal, you should be able to get your Oahu vacation rental for a discounted price and maybe even your airfare. You can also save money with an Oahu vacation package. In fact, with an Oahu vacation package, you should be able to save money on your whole Oahu trip. This is because most Oahu vacation packages not only include overnight accommodations, but they also tend to include airfare. In addition to saving you money, an Oahu vacation package allows you to make one large payment, instead of two.

It is also important to note that the internet makes it easier to find exactly what you are looking for. As stated above, if you need to have an Oahu vacation rental that has four bedrooms, you can easily find one online. If you were not using the internet, it is likely that you would spend a great deal of time searching for Oahu vacation home owners and even more time looking for Oahu vacation rentals that have four rooms. With the internet, you can easily tailor your search to find a vacation home that has just the right number of rooms, among other things.

Although there are a number of benefits to booking your Oahu trip reservations online, you may not feel comfortable doing so or you may be unable to do so. Of course, you can book your reservations the old fashion way, but if you have the opportunity to give an online Hawaii travel website a try, you are urged to take that opportunity.

Pool billiards league play. what league do you play

I titled this article Pool Billiards league play so it will be easy for someone who is searching either word to find this article.

I currently play on a BCA team once per week on Thursday nights and two APA teams, one on Tuesday and the other on Fridays.

The APA league is handicapped and we use the APA equalizer system. This comes into affect on Tuesday nights because it is a regular APA league. This league is 8 ball and my skill level is a 7. This is as high as it gets in 8 ball.

I played a guy ranked as a 3 this past Tuesday, which meant I had to win 6 games before he won 2 games. I had him down 3 to nothing when I cut a ball in the corner and accidentally kicked the 8 ball in with my cue ball. This put the heat on me and he was on the hill. I cruised through the next 2 games and he had a chance to beat me on the final game. Lucky for me he missed the ball before the 8 and I cleared the rack to win the match 6 to 1.

I am ranked a 9 in APA 9 ball, but I am not currently on a 9 ball team. What is your favorite Pool Billiards game?

Our Friday APA league is an all star league. This means that we all play heads up with no regard to skill level or handicaps. We play a combination of 8 ball and 9 ball and it is a race to 7. (First to win 7 games) The player who wins the lag at the beginning of the game chooses either the break on the first rack or which game is played first. (8 ball or 9 ball)

The Thursday BCA league is not handicapped and everyone plays heads up. This is an 8 ball league and 5 players take turns shooting one game each per set and we play 5 sets in a night. This past Thursday night I won 4 games and lost one in a long safety war. I had 2 break and runs from the 4 wins.

I would love to hear about league play in your home town and it would be cool to find out if you have a ranking system and what your skill level is. Drop me a line and let me know. Do you prefer to play pool or billiards heads up or is a handicap system better for you?

To Your Run Out Success,

Ted

Cash advance payday loans

You may have heard of payday loans before, however, you probably don’t have much of an idea of how they were started or even why. These cash advance businesses started within the last decade so they aren’t very old. And, what they do is provide fast cash to individuals who find themselves in a financial situation that requires immediate funds.

It works like this. An individual finds himself in a situation where instant money is needed right now. Most banks and other lending institutions take several days if not longer to get a cash loan and many individuals don’t qualify for bank loans anyway. So, a money loan is made to an individual who visits a payday loans location and proves they have a guaranteed source of income as well as a checking account. Most all individuals who can prove this information may obtain a check advance quickly.

In order to receive a money advance from an emergency loans business there is usually no requirement for the individual to provide a social security number or get a credit check. The individual will then write a post dated check to the payday advance business and upon approval, which doesn’t take too long; the individual will be given their quick cash. An individual can walk in the establishment and ask for a $1500 loan as long as they can prove their income is sufficient to be able to repay the loan in seven days. Other advance payday institutions may offer different terms for emergency cash but the typical loan term for a quick loan is seven days.

Keep in mind however that the fees associated with the fast loan must also be paid and they can be quite expensive if the advance payday loan is rolled over. In fact, interest rates can soar to over 500% if the advance cash you received for your check is rolled over for another loan period. So it is important to remember that if you are really in need of immediate money you can receive urgent attention from an emergency money business. However, you must pay back the loan within the initial loan period or else you will find yourself with soaring debt and potentially even imminent bankruptcy.

So, if it is urgent for you to receive a small amount of money or even as much as $1500 cash you can get the help you need in a prompt and efficient manner if you visit a payday loan institution. Just focus on borrowing the amount of money you really need and do not allow yourself to rollover the loan to the next paycheck or you will be required to pay even more interest. The debt can spiral out of control if you do this and really backfire on you. So, if you are going to borrow money from an emergency money business make sure you pay the money back as stated in the loan terms and don’t borrow money in the form of payday loans unless it is a true emergency situation.

Stock research eastman kodak and the power of disruptive technologies

It’s simply amazing that ten years into the digital revolution, Eastman Kodak is trying to figure out what business they are in. For decades Kodak dominated the chemically based photographic process. You shoot a roll of film, and then you physically took the roll to a developer, and made a second trip to pick up the finished prints. Their only competition in the industry was the Japanese company, Fuji. The upstart would just eat away each year at Kodak’s market, but never becoming a real threat to Kodak’s dominance.

Meanwhile from outside the industry, Polaroid back in the late 1950’s invented a camera where the chemical based development of the pictures took place inside the camera. The picture was ready in about 60 seconds. Polaroid developed a wonderful business and made a fortune for both its shareholders and its genius creator, Dr. Edwin Land.

What happened next was a business disaster, and Kodak should have learned from Polaroid’s mistakes. Dr. Land came up with a moving picture development system. They poured hundreds of millions of dollars into a chemically based system. It would allow users to take moving pictures. The movies would be developed chemically inside the camera system, the same as the still picture system then utilized.

What Polaroid not only didn’t plan for, but couldn’t even imagine was that a disruptive technology would be created from another industry that would basically destroy Polaroid’s business model. Japan would create digital photography. The first Japanese VHS and Betamax camera systems became available. The electronic based technology made so much more sense than Polaroid chemically based system. It forced Polaroid to shut down its movie system products. It also resulted in the immediate write off of hundreds of millions of dollars (equivalent to billions today) that it would never recoup.

Now I ask you, Kodak was in the business, we know that. They saw what this new technology did to Polaroid OVERNIGHT. Couldn’t they imagine that it could happen to them? The answer is apparently not. The management team at Eastman Kodak has been brain dead for at least 20 years. The management team and the Board of Directors should have been dismissed more than a decade ago for gross incompetence. They took a magnificent cash generating machine, and allowed it to turn into a boring, mundane second class company.

They simply chose to ignore what was coming, and what was coming was a TIDAL WAVE, that would sweep away Kodak’s traditional business. Kodak could have chosen to lead the digital revolution. They could have chosen to take the billions of dollars of cash generated by their traditional chemically based systems, and redeploy in other high end technology driven businesses like digital imaging in the medical industry. No, neither choice happened. The company chose instead, to DO NOTHING. Try to maintain the status quo was the order of the day.

Now Kodak is faced with a “what do we do now” decision? It is just a question of how many years it takes before the Kodak way of doing business (chemical processing) completely evaporates. There are a number of lessons to be taken from this example of a formerly world class company going belly up because of an inappropriate business model. Among them are:

•Every company must absorb the central thesis of Clayton Christensen’s two books, “The Innovator’s Dilemma”, and “The Innovator’s Solution”. Harvard professor Christensen was the individual who coined the term, disruptive technologies, or what happens when a new innovation comes in and completely blows away a company’s formerly dominant technology.

•No company has the luxury of sitting on its rear end, and counting on its cash hoard to keep it in business forever.

•Theodore Levitt of Harvard always talked about “What business are you in?” You’d better make sure that you are constantly thinking about how to obsolete your own business, because your competitors are thinking about it all the time.

•Every company should have an internal team that is separate and apart from the company. The sole function of this team would be to come up with ways to destroy the company by developing better products, or better yet technologies that would obsolete the company’s current technology. Xerox decades ago created Xerox PARC (the PARC stands for Palo Alto Research Center) in 1970. They intentionally put it in Palo Alto, California because they didn’t want to have their thinking contaminated by the atmosphere in Rochester, NY, a dead town. The same town as Kodak’s corporate headquarters by the way.

You want to talk about accomplishments; Xerox PARC came up with the mouse that we use on personal computers. They also created the graphical user interface that you use on your PC, and the basic design of the personal computer was taken from Xerox PARC by Steve Jobs. Xerox completely failed to cash in on any of these creations. The guys in Rochester were just as asleep at the switch as the guys at Kodak. There must be something about the air they breathe in Rochester that lulls them into a sense of complacency.

•Companies need to buy smaller companies who are creating the innovating technologies that will put them out of business. If they wait until the technology enters an actionable phase, it is too expensive to purchase. Examples are Yahoo and Microsoft, both of whom had an opportunity to buy Google for millions of bucks. Google now has a market cap of $150 billion, and is virtually untouchable.

Is it too late for Kodak to save itself? The answer is probably yes. Very rarely can a company in such a downward spiral find the managerial talent, and more importantly COURAGE to transform itself internally. The current management team is too interested in continuing its own benefit package and retirement benefits, to make the hard, tough, and necessary decisions to be transformative. Hopefully, other American companies, and investors can learn from the bitter story that Kodak has to teach us. Good luck.

Ebay title writing tips

Trying to be help your buyers find your auctions can be a truly daunting task. Most people only search eBay by title, not by description, and that means that you only have those 55 characters of the title to cover all the possible search terms. That’s not easy. In this email, I’ll give you a few pointers.

Don’t bother with eBay clichйs: There are plenty of eBay auction titles that say things like “Super rare camera wow look low price”. These are stupid things to put in your title, as no-one is going to search for them.

Think like a buyer: If you were looking for your item, then what exactly would you type into that box? If you think it’d help, try searching yourself to find someone else selling your item. What were the first things you thought of typing?

Think like other sellers: Keep an eye on which sellers are doing best with items like yours, and try to copy their title styles – if it works for them, it can work for you.

Be specific: You should be sure to write the item’s brand and specific model number in the title, as people will often search only for this information. Make sure that you also say exactly what the item is.

A Few Examples.

Here are a few examples of good titles. They’re real, and they’re on eBay right now, making their sellers money. So what makes them good?

“Dell Latitude Laptop P3 500mhz Notebook PC Computer”

If you know about computers, you’ll know instantly what this auction is selling. It has manufacturer (Dell) and product line (Latitude), followed by a few technical specifications (P3 500mhz is the processor speed). Notice also that the title includes the four words ‘laptop’, ‘notebook’, ‘PC’ and ‘computer’, as the seller wants people looking for any of those words to see his auction.

“OASIS Don't Believe the Truth CD Album (New)”

This auction for a CD is well formatted: it gives the artist name in capital letters, followed by the album name. It then manages to include the two key words ‘CD’ and ‘album’, as well as the word ‘new’ – that means that anyone searching for ‘new oasis cd’, ‘oasis new album’ and so on will find this auction.

“1840 Penny Black stamp, certificate, four margins”

Here’s a slightly more obscure one, from the exciting world of stamp collecting. A penny black is one of the oldest and most famous stamps. It uses a few key words that collectors will consider important: ‘four margins’ indicates that the stamp has been cut out with some margins around it and so isn’t damaged, and ‘certificate’ tells you that the item has a certificate of authenticity – it’s a real penny black. Remember to use every bit of space to squeeze in as much important information as you can in the title.

So now that you’ve written a winning title, you need to start on a great description. The next email will show you how.

Home equity loan loansmagician

Real estate prices across the country have skyrocketed in the last five or six years. Low interest rates, combined with a lack of trust in the stock market has led to a tremendous inflow of capital into real estate. To put that in perspective, take into account the median household income, which is a little over 44,000,dollar and compare that with the national median home price of 216,000 dollar, a very high multiple. Of course, in many metropolitan areas ( ixs. net ) where a large fraction of the nation’s population lives, the rise has been even more spectacular. San Francisco has seen the median home price rise from 395,000 dollar in 2000 to 713,000 dollar in early 2005

For those who did not get in at the right time, the situation is lamentable, many others, on the other hand, find themselves sitting on potential gold mines – in many cases they have witnessed the doubling, trebling or even quadrupling of their investments in a matter of a few years. Walking and sleeping on land that has appreciated under your eyes is a satisfying experience, and some people are quite happy to count their chickens without wanting to cash-in on their gains. Others, for whatever reasons want to enjoy their newfound wealth. Home equity loans offer an opportunity to do just that.

The fact that property prices have risen means that more Americans than ever before are eligible for home equity loans. Let me illustrate that by an example – say you bought a home for 300,000 dollar five years ago, putting down 20% (60,000 dollar) at that time. If you have a typical thirty-year fixed mortgage then you have not made a significant dent in the principal (in this case the loan principal is 240,000 dollar) in the first five years. Now suppose, quite realistically in many cases, that the house value has appreciated from 300,000 dollar five years ago to 500,000 dollar today. In this case your equity in the house would have jumped from 60,000 dollar (your down payment) to 260,000 dollar (down payment plus unrealized capital gains). You would be eligible to take a loan against that increased equity. Most institutions are willing to extend home equity credit for upwards of 50% of total equity in the home.

Now that we have established that a rising real estate market has produced many more potential candidates for home equity lines of credit, let us show why this is a financially savvy way of consolidating loans or of securing financing. Whether the reasons are personal, such as Ferrari you have been drooling over, or for your home business, home equity loans are usually the best first option for obtaining liquidity. First, home equity loans take advantage of tax breaks that the federal and state governments give all homeowners – all interest payments made to service the loan are tax exempt.

This advantage alone warrants serious consideration – a family in the 30% federal income tax bracket will stand to save a substantial amount on a typical home equity loan. The implications of the tax advantage are such that many people with no need for additional credit take out home equity loans and invest elsewhere just so they can take advantage of Uncle Sam’s generous handout. Second, home mortgages are handled a little differently from other consumer loans because of two reasons. First, the loan is “secured” by a tangible asset (i. e. the house, comprising of the value of the land and the material with which the house is constructed) and second, there is a huge industry that deals exclusively with home mortgages and home loans, resulting in a fiercely competitive environment. To the consumer, this results in significantly lower interest rates on home loans.

So, let us recap the win-win situation for a home equity line of credit. Rising real estate prices have made more people eligible for bigger loans, in many cases significantly bigger loans than ever before. Relatively low interest rates, thanks to the Fed and a competitive home mortgage industry has kept the cost of borrowing low. And finally federal and state tax breaks on home loans further reduce the cost of borrowing.

If you are thinking of borrowing money and you are a homeowner, be sure to consider a home equity line of credit before pursuing alternative methods of financing.

Why we need to take risks

:
It does not matter if you are a Doctor, a Lawyer or an infantry soldier in the Army if you want to be the best and get ahead, you will need to take risks.

A doctor may have to take risks when working with a patient. The Doctor may have to experiment with different forms of medications or new surgical procedures when all else has failed in an attempt to help the patient.

A lawyer may have to argue a case in an unorthodox manner to win the case, but if the lawyer wants to become the top lawyer and make millions of dollars fighting high profile cases lots of risks have to be taken.

A soldier may have to take a risk and run thru gunfire to save another injured soldier, to complete their mission, or just to secure an area from being overrun by enemy troops, after going days with little to no sleep, but if a soldier wants to get promotions and eventually lead men into battle they also need to take risks.

These risks are not unlike someone looking to get rich in a casino, they have to be willing to risk everything they have to get that million dollar payoff. If you play it safe in a casino you may get lucky and win a big jackpot on the slot machines, but if you want to make millions you are going to have to play games such as Poker, Blackjack, Roulette and Craps . These are the games that with some skill, some luck and a lot of risk taking you can retire off your winnings.

The same can be said about life in general. No one gets ahead in life from playing it safe. You will not meet your special someone if you are too afraid to risk getting rejected by someone, you will never get that big promotion unless you take risks at your job.

It is very important to continue to take risks in life. To stop taking risks means to stand still in life. Standing still in life is one of the main causes of depression. These are usually the people afraid to confront the boss and tell him that they demand a raise; they are the ones that allow life to pass them by out of fear. The entire purpose of fear is to stop you from taking a risk.

Fear is nothing more then the unknown. If you have always wanted to quit your job and open a shop but you are too afraid to do it, this is because you are afraid of failing and risking what you already have.

It is important to learn to take risks in life if you want to be happy, you may not always get the things you risked for, but you will know that you tried, and in the end it does not matter in my opinion if you succeed or not it is how many risks you try to make that is the real test of how successful you are.

Just remember if no one took risks we would be a world without flight and probably no automotive vehicles at all, maybe we would have no electricity. So risk truly is needed to improve the world.

Why should you have blue cross

About The Blue Cross

Blue Cross was started in 1929 by Justin Ford Kimball, at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas. It was developed to guarantee teachers 21 days of hospital care for $6 a year. Later on the plan was enlarged to other people in the Dallas area and then throughout the country.

In 1939 the term Blue Cross was used to include other plans as well. Blue Cross is a name used by an association of health insurance plans throughout the United States.

It was developed in 1929, by Justin Ford Kimball, at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas. The first plan guaranteed teachers The plan was extended to other employee groups in Dallas, and then nationally. The American Hospital Association (AHA) adopted the Blue Cross symbol in 1939 as the emblem for plans meeting certain standards.

So as it stands today Blue Cross is an independent membership association working on a service basis and providing protection against the costs mainly of hospital care. Benefit payments are made directly to the hospital. Benefits vary among various Blue Cross associations.

And then there is Blue Shield which, rather than covering hospital care, provides protection on a service basis against the cost of surgical and medical care in a limited geographical area.

The actual Blue Cross, which was a blue Greek Cross, was created by the artist Joseph Binder under the auspices of E A van Steenwijk who was the Company secretary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.

The Blue Cross began now to be used in other parts of the country as well. At present it is a national trade organization linking 40 health insurance companies in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico together.

Supposedly, Blue Cross operations are considered to happen as franchises in specifically designated regions. At present these services are available in every state wihin the United States and every Canadian province

Blue Cross is very prevalent in providing coverage to State as well as Federal government employees and they are also very important in the administration of Social Security. There is a problem with health insurance in the United States.

There is a conflict between the need for the insurance company to make money versus the need of their clients to remain healthy.

This need to make money has become so uncontrolled that one third of the population in the US can not afford medical insurance and medical bills today are the major cause for bankruptcies. This is why state and federal regulation of health insurance companies is necessary.

On the other hand medical insurance companies could hypothetically face unforeseen events such as the chicken flu where a large percentage of their clients all of a sudden face horrendous hospital bills.

Theoretically this could bankrupt the insurance company within a very short timeframe. So to prevent this situation medical insurance companies use a variety of checks and balances to limit payments to beneficiaries.

And of course it is a well-known fact that those seeking health insurance are also those most likely to have medical problems being present or future ones. It is also known that if the cost of healthcare to the beneficiary is very low than the use of medical benefits will be much greater than if the cost is substantial.

So to find the balance where medical services are available when needed but not abused to the extend that for every paper cut you will make a visit to the doctor proper safeguards should be in place.

So in theory, if people would exercise, would eat healthy food, would avoid addictive substances, this would lower health insurance prices because the insurance companies would pay fewer doctor bills.

However, you could then also say that too much of the insurance premiums would be paid out in executive salaries or kept as profits by the company.
