The basics of debt consolidation

Accumulating debt is very easy nowadays, which makes debt consolidation that much more important to the everyday consumer. The basic idea behind debt consolidation is that a consumer takes out one loan in order to help them pay off a number of other loans. The advantages of consolidating debt include a lower interest rate that is often secured, and the simplicity of dealing with just one loan instead of several.

A first word of warning is to steer clear of debt consolidation companies. These are the ones that run commercials promising debt help despite your poor credit. They will charge application and handling fees that other sources of help would not charge, and will oftentimes charge up to 23% in interest, which would be reflected negatively in your credit rating.

Credit cards often charge high rates of interest, which makes them a popular candidate for debt consolidation. In this case the process is relatively simple. If you hold several credit cards with high rates of interest, you can simply transfer their balances to a single credit card with a lower interest rate. Many times you will be able to find credit cards offering a low introductory APR, and oftentimes this introductory rate will actually be 0% for the first six months.

If you are accumulating credit card debt because you are constantly spending more than your actual income, then consolidation will not help in the long run since your credit card balances will inevitably surmount again. As unappealing as it is, you may have to force yourself to look long and hard at yourself in the mirror in order to see that you may have to change your lifestyle and spending habits in order to fully take advantage of debt consolidation. Canceling your newly-zeroed credit cards is a good place to start.

If you are a homeowner then you should look into obtaining a home equity loan. In this case your home will act as collateral. So long as your loan is not more than the value of your house the interest on the loan will be tax deductible. Remember that if you default on this loan, it is very possible that you will lose your home.

In other cases of debt, you can find help at your local bank or credit union in the form of a secured or unsecured loan. The difference between the two is that a secured loan requires you to put up property as collateral, while an unsecured loan does not require any collateral. Needless to say, it will be more difficult to qualify for an unsecured loan.

Web development what is seo

Search engine optimization, or SEO, is the act of altering or optimizing your website and it’s content in order that search engines deem it to be relevant and useful to certain topics. You are able to select the most appropriate topics through the use of certain keywords in your website.

When surfers conduct searches on search engines they are presented with a list of results for that search term. These results are called Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) and generally speaking, the websites that appear at the top of the SERPs will receive plenty of traffic to their websites from searchers.

In order to determine your position on the SERPs, search engines use their own algorithms. While nobody knows for absolute certain what these algorithms are it is widely accepted that your website needs to be easy to navigate, popular and relevant.

Easy navigation means that your site should have text links to each of its pages. If you use a flash menu system then you should include a sitemap in order that search engines and visitors can quickly and easily find their way around the whole of your website.

In order to make your website appear popular you need to get links to your site. While search engines would rather these links were generated because visitors to your site genuinely found your content useful, it is commonplace to undertake a reciprocal link campaign or generate inbound links. Reciprocal links mean a website links to you in exchange for a link to their own site.

Relevance is judged by your content. By including the keywords you place in the metatags of your site throughout the body of your content and in certain places within your site you are indicating to the search engines that your website contains relevant information.

By combining these factors you can effectively convince search engines that you deserve to be near the top of their SERPs. However, this can take time and a lot of effort if you don’t fully understand what you are doing.

Self defense and street fight psychology

Let’s speak about the psychological aspect of a street collision. You should differentiate two items. You must realize, whether your fight is a result of a usual domestic conflict, or you are attacked by a robber, killer or bandit. Your actions will flow depending on these circumstances.

If it is an everyday domestic conflict that happens in the street (someone pushed you or your leg, disturbed the queue order etc.), you should not use your fighting knowledge and skills to put your opponent out of action.

As a rule, all these conflicts occur because of trifles, and you need to behave normally in this case, let’s say naturally. When this conflict happens, no one wants to fight actually, but just gets rid of the negative energy that was accumulated.

Those who express harshly their negative reaction are not dangerous at all in most cases. He will threaten you, make expressive gestures, grab you with iron fingers but nothing more will happen. This is nothing but the pose which does not contain real threat at all. However, there are exceptions in this case too. You must define at once who is dangerous and who is not.

I would like to precise one thing. Though laws and principles of a hand-to-hand fighting are the same, a sports battle in a gym differs greatly from that one happened in the street. If you are calm when fight in a sports gym and don’t worry about fatal injury, you will be extremely nervous when come across your real enemy in the street. You won’t fight according to rule (as you do in the sports gym), you need to act most quickly and cruelly sometimes for your effective self defense.

The psychological aspect plays a very important role in the street scuffle. You must prevent your enemy’s attack or take the lead over him. Therefore, I advise you on no account not to start fighting if you see you can avoid it.

If you cannot do that and you know you will be attacked inevitably, you should act quickly, harshly and be the first with attack actions. Lots of things depend on who starts the battle first. This is the main distinction of a street fight. When you train in the sports gym, it is not important at all who will attack first. Both fighters are ready to attack and defense.

It is not the same thing in the street fight. Opponents rarely stand at the certain stances (as in the sport gym) and are situated in close distance quite often. In other words, they are in the hitting zone of each other. Hence, a person who starts his attack first has a huge advantage. Attack here means just the most harsh and strong action and not the expressive gestures at usual domestic conflict.

I always feel awkward when I am forced to come into such conflict. When I see a person standing in front of myself and offending me, I feel ashamed for this conflict that occurred. This person cannot be dangerous for me, he is completely defenseless.

I know that I can put him out of action in a moment, but my consciousness does not let me do that. As we see, such clashes that happen in shops, public transport, streets etc are not the fight itself, but just an everyday conflict.

Real fight happens when your enemy or enemies are certain in their superiority over you. For example, it may be numerical advantage, force advantage or armament advantage.

So, I strongly recommend to you: try to avoid street fight at any cost. If you see you are about to be attacked, you need to act most quickly and harshly. You must always remember that if your enemy is eager to fight with you, he is sure in his superiority. If he is alone and is not too strong or high, but still wants to fight, it means most likely that he is either armed with the weapon or instructed of some martial art.

Poker - the most basic of strategies

There's a series of Second World War British propaganda posters on the theme of 'careless talk costs lives', anyone who grew up in the British education system and learnt any history will be familiar with them. The situation in which these posters were printed and displayed were of a seriousness incomparable to what I'm writing about, however they do proffer a basic premise that can be applied to a number of things in life, not least of all poker. The basic idea is, keep quiet about what you know in order that the other guy will be unprepared and unable to equal you. As Francis Bacon said; “knowledge is power”.

This is brought in order to introduce an idea in poker that is so simple, so straight forward that I feel a little foolish to be writing about it. However, it has come to my attention recently that people will look for complicated theories regarding poker tactics, they will devour books and skim through websites without an understanding of the fundamental basis of poker betting, without which nothing makes much sense, and with which one frankly doesn't need much else.

Poker betting tactics can be whittled down to the answers of three very basic questions:

· What does my opponent have?

· What does my opponent think I have?

· What does my opponent think I think he has?

You will answer these questions based on the cards on view, as well as an assessment of your opponents betting. However you must bear in mind that your opponent may be manipulating his betting in order to fool you regarding what he has. It is precisely to throw your opponent off course that slow-play, fast-play, and bluffing are used; you must learn how to use these tools to your advantage. For example a large bet on the flop even when you have nothing may indicate to your opponent that you have something; this may effect a later discussion whether to stay in or not.

The psychology of poker should not be under rated and it should not be relegated to second place after mathematical ability. Betting is a law unto itself, and a players approach to betting is reflective always of what he has, and what he thinks you have. Therefore, don't give anything away, don't allow your opponent to read anything about your hand from the cards he can see, assess the possible hands that your opponent has, and form your betting and indeed bluffing tactics around this information. You will find that these three questions will open up tactical betting to you, and enable you to enter into psychological playing which at the end of the day is what enables a good player to become a great player.

The great gambling addiction

Won at a slot machine after spending some dollars. You think the machine is lucky for you and you buy some more tokens for gambling. You experience hard luck and you don’t win. Probably thinking of buying some more tokens, then some more, and at the end you lose even your winnings. Next day some more, then more and more, and this just seems an endless pattern.

Now you are addicted. Yes that’s right! The term addiction was previously used for the addiction to chemical substances like alcohol, nicotine or drugs. With new research on how our brain functions there’s been findings that state that many substances can be addictive even though they are not chemical in nature. One such addiction is the gambling addiction. It seems that addiction is resultant from the pleasure derived from abusing a substance but addiction can begin because of depression or some kind of emotional problem. The reasons are many and they are different and unique for every addict.

Gambling Addiction or pathological gambling is often referred to as a hidden illness. As there are no physical symptoms visible the American Psychological Association refers to gambling addiction as a mental health disorder as there is no impulse control over it. There are two types gambling addictions, one is action gambling and other is escape gambling. Action gambling is when a gambler is addicted to his thrills of taking risks. Action gamblers most of the time are busy playing with others to prove themselves a winner. Escape gambling is due to imbalance of a persons mind or when he is emotionally hurt. Such gamblers prefer playing alone. They are most of the time at the slot machine or playing black jack. They don’t like others playing with them or they don’t want anyone around them. It’s found that the teens are more than three times likely to be victims of a gambling problem as compared to adults. So it is necessary to make them aware about the dangers of a gambling problem at an early age itself.

There are phases of gambling addiction. At first comes the winning phase were gamblers often win a big amount or win a few times. This in turn prompts them to win more as they begin taking great pride in their winning ability. As a consequence, they may choose to increase the bet amount. Then comes the losing phase, when gamblers begin to lose all their money.

Don't take anymore gambles in life. Get the help that you need today. Why not have a shot at a tried and test approach? Hypnotherapy might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of getting your gambling under control, however it is more than likily your best bet. You can even get Hypnosis downloads these days so you can get the results that you desearve in the comfort of your own home and at your own pace. Do something different today - get the results you need and deserve.

Why we re not winning the war against terror iii

While the western world media is focussing its attention on the battles taking place in Afghanistan and Iraq, Africa is being “eaten up” by our old enemies. Islam is forcing its way down from North East Africa towards the equator, while China is moving in from the East, South of the Equator.

In my last paper, “Why we’re not winning the war against terror part 2, I ended by mentioning a number of African states – Congo, Darfur (Sudan), Ethiopia, Eretria, Somalia, Rwanda, Uganda and the rest…

All of these African countries have been involved in terrorist wars in the recent past – and some are still ongoing. They’re not high profile in western media, because there are few western soldiers involved in these wars. Yet the civilian casualties are far greater in these African wars than in the middle-eastern wars.

I hope my two previous papers on the war against terror made the case for fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan. But what about these African wars against terror? Those of us with long memories shudder at being reminded of ‘Black Hawk Down’ during the USA’s disastrous venture into Mogadishu in Somalia, East Africa in 1993; Somalia is now riddled with Al Qaeda.

But is there anything worth fighting for in Africa, apart from trying to stop the terrible bloodshed? Well, Islam and Communist China certainly think there’s something worth fighting for, because they’ve stepped in to replace the vacuum left by the old European influence in Africa. Roughly speaking, Islam north of the equator and China south of the equator. Before the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia did too.

Africa is richly endowed with vast mineral resources. Everyone knows about African Diamonds and African Gold, but Africa also has the biggest reserves of uranium, platinum and many other lesser-known but vitally important strategic minerals in the world. Plus significant quantities of just about every other valuable resource, from oil and gas to coal and iron; just what China needs to feed its hunger for commodities as it builds itself into a world-beating industrial economy. China moves silently, buying-up or infiltrating strategic businesses, and leveraging political and economic influence with like-minded dictators in Southern and Central Africa. Islam is less discreet and moves with violence. The genocide in the Darfur province of the Sudan that the United Nations has been unable to stop is driven by Islamic militants, ruthlessly killing or displacing “non-believers”. So there are two different agendas at work in Africa – the Chinese are securing their supplies of essential minerals and Islamists are steadily imposing their rule and religion on the African people. Both pose a serious threat to the West.

What if we do nothing? Take Zimbabwe in Southern Africa, which has made a small impact on the headlines recently, though there’s not a state of war there… yet. Zimbabwe is a classic case of what happens when terrorists win a war. Comrade Robert Mugabe and his Marxist henchmen have been in power there for 27 years, since the end of the Rhodesian Civil War in 1980. They won the Civil War in Rhodesia with weapons and training from China, while the west imposed sanctions against Rhodesia to hamper the Rhodesian defence against Chinese and Soviet backed terrorists. The war lasted 15 long years, until the sanctions imposed by western nations brought Rhodesia to its knees. Britain backed Marxist Robert Mugabe to win the so-called ‘democratic’ elections that took place in 1980.

In the 27 years since then, tens of thousands (accurate figures are not known) have died in state-sponsored massacres of opponents to Mugabe’s rule. Thousands more have died of disease and other, starvation related illnesses. Rhodesia was known as the “breadbasket of Africa” – now it has to import food. But what was once a thriving economy – despite the civil war and sanctions – has been destroyed. Inflation was last measured at over 1,700% and people are unable to buy food even if there is food in the shops, which is not very frequently because the currency is all but worthless. Having been one of the best in Africa at 67 years, life expectancy in Zimbabwe is now the worst in the world; 37 for men and 34 for women. (World Health Organisation – who. int/countries/zwe/en/ )

But the west is powerless to help the Zimbabwe people because the regional power, South Africa refuses to condemn Mugabe. That’s not surprising. Mugabe’s political party, ZANU/PF is Marxist – like the ANC party of South African President Thabo Mbeki (and Nelson Mandela) in South Africa. We know from experience that African leaders do not tolerate opposition, unless it has no chance of succeeding. If the South African powers support anyone opposing Mugabe, they’ll be supporting their own opposition. Just wait until the South Africa opposition parties begin to become a threat to the ANC. They’ll be crushed just as ruthlessly as Mugabe is crushing the Zimbabwean opposition – now that they represent a threat. Following a high-level mission from China, both South Africa and Zimbabwe have recently strengthened their ties with that country…

The USA and Britain (rightly) have their eyes firmly fixed on the Middle East, but can they afford to ignore what’s happening in Africa?

Know all the financing options before applying for a car loan

Other than their home, buying a car is one of the single biggest purchases most people make in their life. Considering current inflation and expenditure, it is difficult to save money. That is the reason most people cannot afford to pay for a car outright. It is a plain fact of life that most people will have to borrow car loans to purchase a car.

If you have made up your mind to take out a car loan to finance the purchase of your car, then make sure that you are aware of all the car financing options to get car finance. Generally, the car dealer that is selling you the car will also have some kind of finance arrangements. This can be in the form of leasing arrangements or a loan form.

You should know the difference between car loan and car lease. With car lease, you have to pay for the use of the car, and by the end of the leasing period, you have to return the car. With personal car loans, you are borrowing money to purchase the car. Nevertheless, there are some leases that will give you an option to buy the car.

There are number of factors that you should consider when deciding for car loans. Low interest rates, flexible payment option, fast and immediate loan disbursement are some of the essential attributes of car loans. Secured car loans offer low rate of interest. If you can afford to offer collateral, secured car loans are the best options. You can also shop around with other lending institutions like banks and credit unions and make sure you get the realistic deal on offer.

Top online casino payout rates

:
Most all top online casinos voluntarily subject themselves to regular audits (usually monthly) by a qualified and reputable third party firm, such as Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC). These audits generally focus on two aspects of the online casino’s operations: their random number generator and their payout rates. The latter -- payout rates -- is the subject of this article.

An online casino’s payout rates are displayed as a percentage -- that being the percentage of incoming wagers that are paid out in winnings. Is a travel cruise franchise opportunity for you

If your entrepreneurial mind is combined with a love of travel, you may want to consider a travel franchise. Cruise franchises can be particularly lucrative as evidenced by these data:

Last year, the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) reported that the North American cruise industry grossed $35.7 billion, and global industry revenues were $20.6 billion—a 7 percent increase over the previous year. The number of cruisers also increased 7 percent from 2005 to 2006 for a total of 12 million people who took a cruise vacation. Americans accounted for 78 percent of that number. The total number of embarkations from U. S. ports was 9 million, representing a 4 percent increase over the previous year. Embarkations from American ports accounted for 75 percent of total, worldwide embarkations.

Cruising and travel are huge industries, and their are pieces of them available for franchisees.

Why Should I Buy a Franchise?

First, let’s discuss some of the benefits of franchising in general:

When you buy into a franchise, you are gaining access to an established brand and a proven business plan with an existing consumer base. When dealing with well-known brands, there is an expected level of quality and consistency to which consumers have become accustomed. For example, no one thinks of a fast food restaurant as a place to get a really great meal, but we know we like the low prices. Although the food itself is mediocre, it is consistently mediocre, so we know what to expect each time we visit a restaurant. This is one of the major factors in the frequent repeat business enjoyed by fast food brands. However, this is just one example. Established expectations of quality and consistency contribute to success in all industries.

Additionally, a franchisor offers invaluable assistance in getting your business started. For example, the franchisor may aid you in the selection of a location, or—in the case of a home-based business—the franchisor may provide all the necessary equipment and teach you how to use it. You may receive advice on marketing, management and personnel. Many franchisors even provide continual support in the form of newsletters, toll-free access numbers and seminars. You will also have access to a network of other franchisees to whom you can turn for guidance.

Working with your franchisor’s buying cooperatives, you will likely pay less for goods than your independent competitors.

All of these advantages amount to a significantly decreased risk of business failure.

Why Buy a Travel Franchise?

If you’re interested in starting your own franchise business, travel and cruise franchises can be a wonderfully exciting way to fulfill that desire. Let’s talk about a couple of specific franchise opportunities:

All About Honeymoons was recognized as one of the top new franchises for 2006 by Entrepreneur Magazine. This company has been the first to stake its claim in the niche market of honeymoons and destination weddings. If you think that niche sounds too narrow, consider this: There are nearly 2.5 billion weddings held in the United States each year, and 96 percent of newlyweds take a honeymoon trip.

All About Honeymoons provides some unique benefits to couples making their wedding or travel plans, which translate to unique selling points for franchisees. For instance, couples receive a wedding webpage where they can post news about the upcoming event as well as a travel registry where friends and relatives can contribute to the honeymoon expenses.

New business owners in this travel franchise begin by attending a comprehensive training program that covers the finer points of the wedding and travel industries.

If it’s cruises you want to sell through your new business, CruiseOne was recently named the top cruise franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine. You don’t need any previous experience in the travel industry to get started in this franchise, and you can choose to work full or part time from your home or office.

Cruise franchises offer tremendous growth and earning potential because cruising is the fastest growing vacation choice in America. This could be because almost everything is included in a cruise vacation package—lodging, food and fun.

CruiseOne is in the process of a major expansion, and they are actively seeking franchisees in all 50 states. CruiseOne’s headquarters boasts an extensive support staff that is available to assist franchisees with sales, marketing and booking procedures. CruiseOne also operates a private Web Business Center that allows franchisees to access all the information they need to successfully run their businesses via the Internet.

Many people hear the word “franchise” and automatically think of restaurants and retail outlets, but there are so many more options for today’s aspiring business owners. The myriad of choices allows entrepreneurs to find franchises for which they will truly enjoy working—where their personal interests and expertise can be valuable moneymaking tools. If your personal interests include exotic vacations, consider one of the exciting franchise opportunities discussed above or any of the other fantastic travel and cruise franchises now available.

Pickup trucks and safety

Recent news has the consumer population clamoring about whether or not the cars we drive are really safe. Forbes came out with an article on July 30, 2007 by Bengt Halvorson titled "Top 20 Most Dangerous Vehicles," that uncovered some unnerving facts about pickup trucks in general. According to the article, "Pickups as a class have the highest rate of fatality and serious injury," said Michael Dulberger, president of Informed for Life – a safety advocacy group.

Sound familiar? A few years back, we heard the same complaint about SUVs. The uproar – and America's reluctance to give up their SUVs despite safety concerns – prompted SUV manufacturers to add safety features to Sport Utility Vehicles.

Several pickup trucks, however, already have a leg up on the competition. Specifically, Isuzu's two high-performance pickup trucks: the i-290 and i-370. Both models offer a wide variety of safety features you might only expect to find on a Sport Utility.

The first and perhaps most important, is the Electronic Traction Control option which also includes Automatic Locking Rear Differential. The feature helps provide more controlled acceleration on slippery surfaces and in severe weather conditions by reducing engine power to reduce wheel spin. Another features is the pickup's push-system that allows the driver to shift from 2-wheel-drive to 4-wheel drive on-the-fly. Anti-Lock Braking Systems are a must when it comes to safety and Isuzu's pickups offer 4-wheel anti-lock brakes to reduce wheel lockup on slippery surfaces when the need to brake hard arises. Daytime running lights and a tire pressure monitoring system also make Isuzu's pickups safer than many competitors. The pickups also sport Head-Curtain Side Impact Airbags and an automatic Airbag Suppression System in the event that an accident should occur.

By comparison, here's a list of the pickup trucks that made the list of the Top 20 Most Dangerous: the Ford Ranger/Mazda B-Series which doesn't offer stability control, side airbags or curtain airbags; the Nissan Frontier (Extended Cab) ; and the Dodge Dakota 4-door pickup (side airbags and curtain airbags are optional). A few SUVs also made the list like the Nissan Xterra, and the remainder (as one might predict) was populated by very small economy cars such as the Saturn ION and Mazda3.

While the trend is typically to make vehicles safer by adding both passive and active safety features, the reality is that certain cars tend to fare better in accidents than others. Small, lightweight cars are no match in a collision with an SUV even if they possess enhanced safety features. While pickup trucks tend to fare better than cars in SUV collisions, it's evident from the aforementioned study that many pickup truck manufacturers simply aren't adding valuable safety features to their pickup lines in the way they are on SUVs.

Pickup truck enthusiasts shouldn't have to compromise safety to drive the vehicles they love. Demanding SUV safety features be added either as standard or optional to pickups is the first step. Purchasing pickups that have these features – like the Isuzu i-370 or i-290 – will entice others in the automotive industry to follow suit and soon, pickups will be as safe as SUVs.

The most common crm mistake

We hear all the reasons why we need CRM in our lives yet making CRM a success is a cross between science, art, and even a tiny bit of luck. In fact most times it requires a management team that can take a little risk to reap some excellent gains. Too often when CRM fails no one understands why, yet there are three very common CRM mistakes that will spiral you into failure. When you overcome those mistakes you’ll have a very successful CRM program.

Mistake #! Failure To Know Your Value Proposition

Every company needs to have a value proposition. What’s a value proposition you ask? It’s your statement that tells your potential clients what’s different about your company than the competition.

When it comes to your customer relationship management or CRM you need to establish a reason that will compel potential clients to establish a relationship with their company. There are generally two types of clients – those that want a one time relationship and those that expect to build a long term relationship.

Your one time clients will not be happy if you force the customer service that CRM and it will result in a feeling of their privacy being invaded. But on the other hand those customers looking to have an ongoing relationship will be very impressed with your CRM system. In an instant the representative will be able to pull up the customer file and quickly deal with any issues, wants, or questions. It’s important to address this in your value proposition.

Mistake #2 Failure To Match Your Representatives and CRM System

Too many CRM systems are all about the technology and not the people. Companies purchase high tech CRM systems believing their efficiency will increase dramatically. They want staff throughout the organization to adapt to the CRM technology, the biggest mistake ever.

What needs to happen is processes in each department need to be analyzed and mapped out and then CRM technology that matches the way the company operates needs to be chosen. AIM! is one CRM software package that has a lot of flexibility so it can be a good choice when you want to match reps with your CRM system.

Mistake #3 Assuming All Customers Are Equal

A common mistake is to “think” we know our customer or potential customers and then assuming all customers are equal so we treat them all the same resulting in actually two mistakes.

First you have to acknowledge that no matter how much data you collect you will never really know your customer. There will always be a “private” part to your client. And pushing too hard will cause your customer to back away. Too often boundaries are overstepped.

What you want to do is find out as much as you can about your customer within the customer’s comfort zone and then collect and store this data using your CRM software. That means each customer gets the personal touch with little effort by your staff because all the details are just a click a way. CRM programs like AIM! allow you to customize the software to meet your company and customers needs.

Now that you know how to avoid the most common mistakes you will choose the best CRM program for your company.

Some other important things that are to be considered to give a successful pace to your website are web designing and graphics, avoid JavaScript and flash, insite cross linking - the targeted words used in every page of website give more chances for visits and works as door ways towards your homepage.

Website design advice and information

Most of us at times need advice on different aspects of life and the thought of obtaining a website can be quite a daunting task for many people. There are so many people offering cheap web design services, therefore how do you know who to choose and what to look for.

In reality you should be able to find some great deals out there due to the competitive nature of website design. You should be able to get a good looking, search engine friendly website built for between Ј50 and Ј100. The websites mentioned at the bottom of this article were designed and uploaded for under Ј50!

Where do you find these web designers, willing to build a website for this affordable price?

These are the places I would be looking:

internet search engines

yellow pages

asking family and friends

newspaper advertisements

shop window advertisements

internet auction websites such as ebay

When you have found a designer who is going to build your website, you need to find the content for your website, choose colours and graphics and think of the page titles for each page. The page titles could be the key phrases people are likely to search for in your product area or even better the niche phrases.

Once the website is built you then have to think about promoting your website. Building up your backward links is becoming increasingly important and will eventually lead to higher search engine positions and therefore more traffic to your website.

Writing articles like the one you are reading is also of value as people are able to use them for free on their website, thus creating you an additional backward link.

If you would like to earn a little extra money from the website you could try google adsense. These are ads that the search engine google will place on your website. When a visitor clicks on the ad you earn money.

Vacation rental properties - the best value for your family vacation

Vacation rentals in a place such as Hilton Head Island, South Carolina offer families their own homes away from home. Establishing this way to vacation with your family reduces stress and increases the pleasant memories you'll take home afterward.

Many vacation rentals are actually much less costly than a comparable hotel room or suite. The reason is simple - the overhead for an owner's single-property vacation rental is much lower than the promotion fees built into the rates of a major hotel chain. It follows the Coca-Cola example: the can costs 1.5 cents, the ingredients cost about a nickel, and the advertising and marketing cost 35 cents a can. How would you rather spend your money, on promotion or on product?

Convenience, flexibility, and variety of accommodations (Homes - Villas - Condos) are just some of advantages of choosing vacation rental properties. One of the great advantages to vacation rental properties is space, especially in a home or a villa that has multiple bedrooms. Rarely can the average priced hotel room compare to a vacation rental. And that's just the beginning.

It's unlikely that Mom wants to spend much of her vacation in the kitchen, but vacation rentals give you that option. What's even better is that all the necessities are furnished - plates, silverware, pots and pans, coffee maker. A budget-constricted family utilizing a well-equipped kitchen on vacation can reserve some funds for that special event - to see a show, to shop for treasures in specialty outlets, to book a jet ski rental, charter fishing trip, or even a daring afternoon of parachute sailing above the waters of the Calibogue Sound and the Atlantic Ocean you always wanted to try!

In Hilton Head Island, there are a few vacation rental companies that offer invaluable advice when you book with them. Dealing with a good one such as Hilton Head Rentals provides you with a Local's perspective about all the interesting things to do, and can help make your vacation even more memorable. Whether it's Hilton Head golf, fishing, tennis or what restaurants to try (or which to stay away from!) we are locally based, not sitting in some "boiler room" based in India or New York and trying to answer questions about Hilton Head.

Vacation rental companies exist to help you get the most value for your hard-earned dollar. Professional reservations staff truly wants to help you get the kind of priceless memories that will last forever. So the next times you're thinking "hotel or a vacation rental property?" consider the above and weigh the advantages.

5 easy steps to make your website visitors buy

In his book "Practical Thinking", Dr. Edward de Bono talks about the basic thinking processes, how one understands, and the ways to be right or wrong in thinking. He said that the main purpose of thinking is not just to accumulate knowledge but to get enough knowledge in order to act on something. He also said that, in practice, the validity of an idea does not have any bearing in being right in thinking, for being right is a feeling, a belief that one is right during the time of thinking.

To put this in practical use, you should write your ad copies so that your visitors will feel it is right to buy your products. Make them feel that it is their idea to make the purchase. By doing so, it will be easier for you to persuade these potential customers to hit that buy button.

Here, then, are some ways to create that feeling of rightness in your readers:

1. Provide the benefits of your product.

People usually buy because of the benefits, not because of the features of a product. They think, "How can this help me? What's in it for me?" By providing the benefits, you can show how your product can avoid pain. For example, you may say, "Never again be rejected when asking for a date." You can also show how your product can gain pleasure. An example, you can say, "Imagine yourself opening the doors of your dream home."

2. Use "goody-goody" words to build up the positive emotional reaction of your readers.

Words such as honesty, freedom, dignity, love and dream, convey such emotions that your readers react positively to them. For example, you can say, "Financial freedom for you." Your visitor will then have the feeling that financial freedom is possible for them, and they may want to take a look at your product.

3. Use "bad" words to elicit the negative reaction.

Using "bad" words, such as hate, weak, or debt convey the opposite. By using these words, you can heighten the negative feelings of your readers that they may see your product as a tool to avoid or end their pain. You can say, for example, "Don't you just hate your job?"

4. Assume your visitors will buy your product.

A popular line in ad copies start with the words "Who wants to be the next". For example, by asking "Who wants to be the next millionaire?", you are assuming that by buying your product, your visitor will become a millionaire. You can also start your sales letter with the greeting, "Dear Future Millionaire".

5. Add a little humor in your sales letter.

Humor can put people in a good mood, making them to agree with you and lower their resistance to buy. This can provide that little extra push needed to close a deal.

Remember, make your readers feel that buying from you is a right decision they are about to do. Provide the benefits of your product, use words laden with emotions, and add a little humor in your ad copy. This way, you may see a drastic improvement in your sales conversion.

The hallmarks of a professional teacher

Have you ever wondered what the qualities of a really professional teacher are? I know that all teachers want their students to like them, but being liked isn't the be-all and end-all really, is it? I mean teachers have to make some unpopular decisions sometimes.

Teachers can be popular just because they are friendly and helpful, but to be truly professional and effective they need other qualities. Students may not be able to put their finger on just why one teacher is more effective than another but we need to be able to identify the skills and behavior we require in a true professional.

A professional teacher needs to be confident without being arrogant. Nobody can expect to have all the answers, so if a student asks a real stinker, the professional teacher should be able to admit defeat but offer to find out more for the student. And they must carry that promise out.

Proper preparation is another crucial requirement of professionalism. When the teacher enters the classroom s/he should have all the required materials and the lesson plan ready. Nothing is more sloppy than poor preparation.

Interaction with the group needs professional standards of behavior: polite, firm and fair just about sum it up. And in orchestrating the class the teacher must give everyone their chance to contribute and should be flexible enough to modify lessons if they are obviously not going on plan. Indeed a fall-back position is part of good planning.

It stands to reason also that teacher must observe punctuality and appropriate tidiness and dress code: it is not possible to demand such behavior from students if the teacher doesn’t set the standards. Indeed I can remember occasions on which students have complained to me about “scruffy” teachers.

The last thing I would mention is that teachers should be able to feel that their professionalism entitles them to back-up from the school directors. If a teacher has a problem class or student then the school should have procedures for handling the difficulties. The teacher should not have to feel alone and vulnerable if a difficult situation arises. So, yes, professionalism cuts both ways: in the standards we demand of teachers and the framework we have for giving them support.

Handwriting analysis

Graphology is the name given to the general subject of personality analysis based on handwriting analysis. Just as in Psychology there are various schools of Psychology – Behaviorist, Psychoanalytical, and so on - so too in Graphology.

Graphoanalysis is one such school and, from my experience, the most scientifically oriented reliable field of Graphology. Graphoanalysis is personality analysis based on handwriting analysis of the slant, size, measurement, pressure, spacing, and arrangement of letters and words on the page.

Graphoanalysis is used to analyze Latin lettering languages usually written in cursive handwriting (letters joined together). Printing can also provide information as to the writer’s personality. To a certain extent, an expert Graphoanalyist can analyze handwriting in languages written in letter forms other than Latin lettering.

Graphoanalyists are experts in handwriting analysis. The International Graphoanalysis Society (IGAS) is the full name of the school of Graphology to which the Graphoanalyist belongs.

A Quick Handwriting Analysis can be fun at a party or a get together. The Graphoanalyst will usually convey to the people whose handwriting is being analyzed the most outstanding features of their handwriting.

A Free Analysis is sometimes given to wet your appetite for more knowledge on the subject of graphology in general and graphoanalysis in particular.

In depth handwriting analysis requires many hours of measurement of letters and analysis of the combination of traits appearing in the handwriting and is used for more serious purposes such as determining a person’s job qualifications. Graphoanalysts are professionals who do this type of work.

Handwriting recognition by courts of law is a well known fact today. In court cases handwriting analysis is used to determine whether or not a signature on a document is valid. Graphoanalysts who have specialized in recognizing forgeries are called upon to give evidence in such cases and may have crucial influence on the final decision.

How i spent my vacation in amsterdam

During the vacation I got to see many of the wonders that Amsterdam has to offer. One of the first things I went to see was the Van Gogh Museum. Having just gotten off the plane I was tired, but some of his art is just amazing to see, and I did not want to wait to see them.

After going to the museum I headed into the city center to look around, maybe do some shopping and get some food.

I had herd many things about Amsterdam and just thought that many of them were blow out of proportion, well I am here to tell you that they are all true. The first thing that hits you is the strong smell of Marijuana, and then you start to see the almost completely naked girls in the windows.

As if the prostitutes in the windows were not enough there are live sex shows and sex shops selling every imaginable sex toy known to man on every street, but this was not what interested me.

Then as I continued walking around I started to notice something besides pot, and naked females, I saw casinos.

I grew up in New Jersey, just about 2 hours from Atlantic City, and after my 18th birthday I spend a good amount of time in the casinos. So I decided to go in and check some of them out.

Well I wound up spending most of the rest of my time in those casinos. The first one I went to was Video Gaming machines only, but they had video poker, video blackjack and Video Slot machines as well, I did not really do well her in this place so I only spent about an hour, and about 100 Euro, then left.

The next place I found was a nicer place. Unlike in New Jersey, in these casinos people are dressed up in their nice clothes instead of jeans, sneakers and T-Shirts. This casino had actual table games so I tried to play some Blackjack, but there was a player at the table that either had no idea on how to play or he was somehow involved in cheating with another player, but I am inclined to think he just did not know how to play blackjack.

So I started playing at the Roulette table, and I was doing really well, at one point I was up about 400 Euro before I started losing. So I decided to leave this casino and go walking around for a while.

The next day I found myself in another casino, and I decided to see if my luck was back, I went to a slot machine and put in some money and on the third spin I won another 200 Euro, so feeling lucky I decided to enter the poker room, and that is when things got really interesting. I got into a game and boy were these guys good, but I was winning just as much as I was losing, and in the end I may have even walked away with a few Euros more then when I walked in.

After playing for about 5 hours I decided to go outside and walk around a bit to stretch my legs. I would up deciding to sit down and have a cup of coffee, but I did not know the difference between a coffee shop and a caf?.

In Amsterdam a caf? is a place to sit and have a coffee, but a coffee shop is a place to purchase and smoke Marijuana. So as I was sitting there drinking my coffee I noticed several people rolling joints. Now I have herd about this and I hade smelled plenty of pot while I was there, but I did not realize it was sold out in the open like this. So I decided to buy some pot and try it.

I went to the counter where I saw others buying their weed and the guy behind the counter was very nice and showed me a menu of what they had for sale. I wound up buying a joint of white widow. The man behind the counter told me his was very strong stuff, but I was not prepared for this.

I managed to smoke about half of the joint, before I was hit with this feeling. I have been a drinker for many years, but even in my college days I was never out of my head like this.

Eventually I managed to get out of there and get some fresh air, and some waffles. I decided, this was the time to back into the casino and win my money back, and in the end I lost another 600 Euro, and wound up falling off my chair in the casino and needed to be helped out.

So if you are going to be going to Amsterdam, be careful the grass is really strong.

Coping with stress

With Christmas just around the corner, many people are racking their brains trying to figure out what gifts to give to everyone. Finding the time to shop on top of all the other daily stresses we encounter just adds to our dilemma. (No, I am not going to try and sell you products here or give you gift ideas.)

Holidays bring about their own added stress with all the shopping and party going that must be done. For some it is the straw that breaks the camels back so before it arrives we must be prepared to cope with it.

Stress is an inevitable part of life. We will never be able to get rid of it completely. In fact, you wouldn’t want to get rid of it completely because, believe it or not, stress is also good for you. Stress revs up our internal engines and makes us ready to take action. The problems arise when we don’t take care of the situations at hand. This keeps our engines running but we are not going anywhere. Life is not meant to be lived as a Formula 1 Race.

Lily Tomlin once said, “Some people say life is a rat race. If we take that attitude, then even if you win, you are still a rat”.

Life doesn’t have to be a rat race. We can learn to live with stress as we learn to allow balance into our lives.

How can we cope with stress?

The first step in coping with stress is to be sure that we get enough sleep. This is the first area that people fail in. They feel that because there is so much to do they need to cut back on sleep in order to get more time in their day. This is a never-ending devil’s circle because the less sleep we have the more tired we are and the less able to cope and then the more stress we feel.

Dealing with stress does not depend on the quantity of time we have but on the quality. If we are well rested we are clear headed and able to come up with solutions to our problems. If we are overtired we will accomplish little and keep going in circles.

Try and find a balance in your sleep cycle. Go to bed the same time each night and get yourself into a routine that your body can count on.

So rule #1 Get more sleep.

Rule #2 Eat a balanced diet.

What does diet have to do with stress? Everything! Our bodies need to run as a well tuned engine. If we feed it crap you will feel like crap. You need a balanced diet with fruits and vegetables and lots of water to keep running well.

Rule #3 Stop Procrastinating

Procrastination is the biggest stress producer. If you don’t have time to tackle your problems all at once at least put aside some time each day to work on a part of the problem. Take care of it in little chunks and before you know it the problem is gone.

A Mountain is moved one stone at a time. Start moving your stones and you’ll get rid of your mountain.

Rule #4 Manage Your Time Effectively

Just like money, time also must be budgeted. You only have so many hours in a day and they must be used judiciously. Balance here is the key. Make sure to take some time to work, deal with problems and relax.

You must be sure to include relaxation time for yourself, even if it is only 15 minutes a day. Add it to your schedule and make sure you take this time for yourself. Even if you must go to your room and lock the door to get it, be sure to do it.

There are many things you can do to relax and get your mind at ease. Simple things such as a walk outside can help restore frazzled nerves and give you time to reflect on your life. Other choices would be a nice, warm bath, or a quiet spot where you can meditate.

Mediation does not have to be anything grand or complicated. Just find some quiet time and let all cares out of your mind. Think of nothing for 15 minutes. I find it easier to imagine a black screen in front of me. Every time a thought comes through my mind I remind myself that I do not want to think right now. My black screen is on. Just do nothing, think nothing, be totally at peace for 15 minutes. It will do wonders for you. After you will find that you can think much more clearly. A quiet mind brings about answers that you would never usually think of.

Lastly, the effects stress will have on you is dependant upon the way you react to it. Stress is like the bully at school who keeps coming around to taunt you. You can let him have your candy or you can stand up and do something about it. The choice is yours.

May the Christmas season bring you peace.

God Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change

Courage to change the things I can

And the wisdom to know the difference

Smart lipo laser liposuction

Liposuction has been recognized as a useful treatment to dramatically sculpt body lines and eliminate unsightly subcutaneous fat. Traditional liposuction uses mechanical suction to break up fat cells and suction them out of the body. This can result in pain, swelling, and bruising, as blood vessels and nerves can be caught up in the suction.

SmartLipo laser lipolysis is the first FDA approved laser lipolysis device. Rather than rely upon mechanical suction, the SmartLipo uses laser energy to break up fat cells, a process known as lipolysis. This often results in much less trauma to the body than traditional liposuction.

As a result of this new technology, many people are finding that recovery for laser body sculpting is quicker than traditional liposuction and can return to work or other duties within a day or two.

In addition to destorying fat cells, the laser in SmartLipo can tighten the skin resulting in an improvement not only in the fat under the skin, but an overall appearance in the skin itself due to the tissue tightening.

The factors of SmartLipo which include, quick revoery time, generally minimal bruising and swelling, and the benefit of tissue tightening, are making it the preferred choice for people who would otherwise turn to liposuction.

Five fantastic ways to automate content update

We all know that content is king on the internet. The maxim has been cited so many times that it has already become a clichй. Well, it has become a clichй because it’s true. The internet IS the information superhighway. The processes in the World Wide Web are fueled by information. Users search for it. Web publishers provide it. And when you could give the information that people want, then you’re in business. Whether your online endeavor is based on Pay Per Click (PPC) programs or the sale of digital products, quality content will drive people to your pages.

Indeed, content is your best investment for your online enterprise. But preparing unique, premium content is often not enough. You must strive to regularly update your content so that the search engine spiders would constantly crawl through your pages and fetch them for every relevant query. This is the key to good search engine placement. It is very effective…

… but it is also very demanding.

Writing good content is taxing enough. Having to write the same on a regular basis could be difficult. Having to write the same on a regular basis for several websites could be hellish. Surely, there must be an alternative or two which could spare you from having to write your own content to update your website and win the favor of the search engine spiders, right?

Well, here are five fantastic alternatives that not a lot of people are employing. Knowing them alone could give you the edge over your competitors in the race for good search engine positioning.

1. Try RSS. RSS, which stands for Real Simple Syndication, is a technology that was first used by news wire services online. RSS allows users to display specific files every time they are uploaded on a source website. If website A, for example, generates RSS feeds to announce new articles uploaded to its server, and websites B, C, D and E are subscribed to website A’s RSS feeds, they could display the said feeds on their desktop via an RSS aggregator. For online marketing purposes, these RSS feeds can also be displayed on your web pages. All you need is to download some programs that would enable you to do this. Make sure that you get an RSS-to-HTML reader, so that the RSS feeds you will display on your pages can be readable for the search engine spiders. Afterwards, all you have to do is to subscribe to an appropriate RSS feed, and every time the source website would post new content, you’ll be able to display the same on your own website.

2. Create your own forum. Online users normally gravitate towards forums that are dedicated to their own passions. If your website has an attached forum, you’d be able to invite your visitors to sign up with the same. They’ll be left to their own devices. They’ll create threads about matters they are interested with. They will pots messages to their hearts’ liking. And you will have a virtual well of constantly updating content, without having to type a single word!

3. Integrate a feedback manager. If you’re posting articles as content, then you might want to include a feedback system for the same. This would enable your readers to leave their comments below the said article. Basically, your article would serve as the catalyst for content that will continuously be added by interested readers who want to share their piece of mind on what you have posted.

4. Run a contest. Offering a prize for the visitor who submits the most engaging article relevant to the subject of your website, for example, would encourage a lot of people to submit entries that you could use as your own content. Just remember that your contest rules should include a term which states that submitted entries can be published on your website as a condition to their inclusion in the contest proper.

5. Run a mini-article directory. Try to visit ezinearticles. com or goarticles. com . See how these websites ensure for themselves an abundant supply of great content? Simply follow their model, and implement the same on your website, even if it would be on a downgraded level. You’d be able to guarantee for yourself a good flow of new content!

NOTE: You have full permission to reprint this article within your website or newsletter as long as you leave the article fully intact and include the "About The Author" resource box. Thanks! :-

Making spanish paella the easy way

Paella is a saffron-flavored dish made with varying combinations of rice, vegetables, meat, chicken and seafood. Spain and the Catalan languages, paella means frying pan or pot. The traditional paella pan is flat and of large diameter, it can also have handles on each side.

In fact, paella is one of the most versatile dishes to make. Paella also has the advantage of being great to clean out the fridge and use up leftover meats and vegetables. Any combination will eventually be great the secret is in the chemistry. Spanish Paella is a dish that is generally made to feed several people. Moreover, Spanish Paella is quite flavorful the next day as the tastes have had time to mix together and become stronger.

Here are three basic steps to follow to make wonderful Spanish Paellas while leaving you the latitude to be creative and to make the dish their own by customizing it to their taste.

1. Preparing the rice.

Select a type of rice that you are comfortable using. Feel free to experiment but know that Spanish Paella contains a lot of ingredients and if you are unhappy with the end result with a particular type of rice, you might end up with a lot of waste. Basmati, brown or a mix with wild rice can add great taste and texture. Follow the instructions on the package with regards to washing and cooking the rice. Finely chop some onion, garlic and tomato. Heat a saucepan and add olive oil once the saucepan is hot (make sure that the oil does not start smoking. Burnt olive oil is carcinogenic and quite unhealthy). Once the oil is hot, throw in the uncooked rice. Frying uncooked rice gives it a nutty taste. Let the rice fry in the saucepan for a minute or so. Add the chopped onion, garlic and tomato until they soften, mixing constantly. Spice with saffron, salt and pepper. Feel free to experiment. Cumin, Cayenne various fine herbs or even a bit cinnamon or cloves can easily be added for a flavoring of your own. This mixture should not be on the stove for more that three to five minutes. At high heat with constant mixing, none of the ingredients should stick but they should mix well together and soften. Once all the ingredients are combined, remove the saucepan from the burner and mix in some frozen peas. Add enough peas to make a well balanced mixture.

2. Choosing and making the meat.

In a frying pan at high heat, brown some pieces of chicken. Upper thighs, drumsticks, breasts...it's all good. Do not cook the meat completely but brown the outside. Once browned, set the meat aside. Lamb can also add great flavor to your Spanish Paella.

3. Combination of it all

Cover the bottom of the Spanish Paella pan with the uncooked rice mixture. Add the browned chicken pieces on top. Add uncooked shell fish and small fish filets rolled up and fastened with a toothpick or string. Use any type of fish but make sure that its flesh will hold well together. Pour some chicken broth on top (if the broth is warm the cooking time will reduce). Note that you can also add wine for more flavor. Cover the Spanish Paella dish and cook for about 45 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit or until the rice is fully cooked. At this point you can add raw shrimp or mussles and cook uncovered for another five minutes.

In short, the secret to preparing the perfect Spanish Paella is to make it your own!

Harems women s point of view

Queen Amara began her day with a scented bath, a skin rub of herbs and oils, a shampoo followed by the sweet fragrance of sandalwood being infused into her drying hair, and an application of custom cosmetics. After being dressed and jeweled by her many attendants, a blossom was tucked into her hair and she was given cloves to freshen her breath. The process took half a day but she was ravishing for the king.

There was more to this influential and contented queen than her beauty. Her father was a still king in his own right so she entered the harem with sizeable personal wealth. In addition, she received a regular allowance and frequent gifts from her generous husband. When these gifts were land, they included the accompanying taxes and tolls from that property. She could even, through a eunuch, increase her impressive wealth through trade.

She spent her money on additional personal upkeep beyond what she was lavishly provided. Additionally, she built hotels which were made available to travelers on her own land, and commissioned buildings and gardens to beautify the empire.

She loved her life and today being Bazaar Day made it even sweeter. Because none of the harem could shop in the market, the women of the bazaar’s merchants brought luxury wares to them. They displayed piles of bangles, veils, jewels, caged birds, wine decanters, sweetmeats, and more for their wealthy audience.

The bazaar women brought something else that was exciting: gossip. Thus the queen could count on learning of events occurring in the surrounding city, the marriages and births, the quarrels and the intrigues of women in other harems.

Gulban, a concubine who no longer received more than an occasional visit from the king, could not accept the harem’s restrictions. Although she continued to be handsomely rewarded for her past attraction to the man who brought her here, she had been replaced by another pair of bright dark eyes brought into the City of Women.

When a woman in the harem showed signs of pregnancy, Gulban became a jealous “sister.” She had become expert in devising spells and potions for women whose wombs were more fertile than hers. Unexplained injuries and even deaths were facts of harem life. Gulban and others were known to injure or poison women even without the spur of pregnancy.

The lack of men encouraged women to become quite inventive in ways to satisfy themselves without them. Bringing a man surreptitiously into the harem was too dangerous even for Gulban so physical yearnings were satisfied by an occasional eunuch. Or other women.

Beneath the notice of the lofty queen and the once-favored concubine, was a woman who, along with hundreds of others, maintained the glitter and the cleanliness of the harem. Suti, who had been sent to the Royal Harem when she was twelve, lived in a single room. For her, life in the harem was one of long hours of work, small living quarters and a lack of possessions. She was content, however, realizing if she had remained in her village she would not know this dazzling environment, nor could she be certain she would have had a roof over her head and enough food to eat. She did not share the privileges of the royal women around her, but she shared their confinement. Although she was not cut off from communications with her friends and family in her home village but she would never see them again.

When so large a group was brought together from throughout the empire and confined within the same walls, irritations and animosities arose. Particularly when the very family or clan a woman had been taught since childhood to hate or fear was now nearby on a daily basis.

What was to be done with the natural intelligence and creativity pulsing within the confined women? To channel these talents and to increase the “value” of the harem as a whole, educational opportunities were presented. Many women eagerly learned how to play a musical instrument, how to sing and how to dance. In addition, tutors were arranged for instruction in calligraphy, languages, poetry, and social graces. Women became accomplished scholars who competed with one another but never against men.

Did women enjoy the pampered lives they led in the Royal Harem?

Would you?

How to install a motherboard

(Important make sure you read through this guide before you begin installation of your new motherboard.)

The motherboard is the largest and one of the most important components of your computer. It’s reliability and health is utmost important.

Once you have picked out and purchased your motherboard you are ready for installation.

Carefully remove the motherboard from the box, do not remove it out of the ESD (electro static discharge) bag. Do a quick inventory to make sure you have all of your parts. Most likely you should have all of you IDE cables for the hard drive and cdrom, and possibly I/O plate. If you purchased a motherboard that support ATA hard drives you should have those cables.

Once you have verified that you have all the parts, pick up the user manual, and read through it, you don’t have to read it from cover to cover but you want to familiarize yourself with the motherboard, in addition many motherboard manufactures will also include a quick installation guide so take a look at that also.

Now you are ready, your work area should be clean and static free. Put on your anti static wrist band, if you have one. A anti static wrist band is just basically a cloth wrist band that has a snap on stretchable cable that is grounded, the grounded surface area helps keep electrostatic discharge in control.

Remove the motherboard from the box and all of the parts. Then remove the motherboard from ESD bag and lay it inside the empty box. Cut open your ESD bag on each side and turn it inside out so that you can lay your motherboard inside of it. Just laying your new motherboard on top of your ESD bag is not enough protection from electro static discharge.

Prepare your computer chassis. If you have already installed and mounted your power supply, tie the power cords out of your way with some wire ties, or some Velcro. You need a clear path from the opening of your chassis to the bottom of your chassis, where your motherboard will be mounted.

Something’s you need to think about before you drop your new motherboard into your chassis is, cooling. Depending on what type of processor you have purchased, the processor may run hot. So you have to think about good ventilation for your chassis. Heat can destroy your new investment in a matter of hours. If you do not already have at least two exhaust fans on your chassis you may have to think about actually cutting a hole either at the top of your chassis or on the side to mount the exhaust fans. Ok pick your jaw off the ground; it’s not as bad as it sounds. If you have a dremel with a cutting blade it can be very easy. Use an old CD as a template and draw around the CD with a washable marker. Then just follow the line with your dremel. Now you don’t have to do this, you can buy a chassis with plenty of exhaust fans already installed, so that is something to consider when you are in the process of buying all of your parts.

Now let’s get back to installing your new motherboard. Once you have a clear path to the bottom of your computer chassis, make sure that you have your bag of screws handy, and a long neck Philips screw driver. Take a look at the motherboard mounts, they are installed inside your chassis, these are the mounts that you will align with the holes on the motherboard. If you do not have any mounts you will have to installed them your self. The hardware should have come with your chassis if your chassis is new; if not make sure you save your screws, when you remove your old mother board.

Remove the old I/O plate and install the new one, take a look at the manual for reference. Make sure that it is secure. Look at the mounts that are on the bottom of your, chassis you want to make sure that you line up the mounts with the holes that are drilled on your mother board. (Important DO NOT DRILL ANY HOLES IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD) Angle the motherboard so that I/O ports will match with the holes on the I/O plate. There is a good chance that you might need to remove the break away pieces of metal the cover some I/O holes on the I/O plate. It is a good idea to check for proper match before installing the mother board.

As you angle the motherboard towards the I/O plates make sure that mounting holes on the motherboard are lining up with the mounts on the chassis. Gently push the motherboard towards the back of the chassis so that the I/O ports are snug against the I/O plate, and that all of the ports are protruding all the way out.

Once you have the motherboard correctly align with the I/O plate you are ready to mount the motherboard to the chassis with the screws provided. Tighten each screw down so that they are snug; do not over tighten the screws.

Use the manual as your guide and connect the power LED, speaker, reset switch ECT, coming off of the chassis to the F_panel (Front Panel) of your motherboard. Since each motherboard will be slightly different make sure to refer to the manual for exact instruction.

Ok well there you have it. You just installed your new motherboard. Need more information on motherboards, and motherboard form factor like the AT or ATX head on over amecomputers. com/form-factor-motherboards. htm

Google adwhat making sense of google adsense

Surfing the web lately, you’ve probably seen “Ads by Gooooooogle” on many of the websites that you’ve visited. Every day, more and more website owners are discovering exactly how to make money out of Google, so much so, that many web publishers are actually making a full time income just from having Google adverts on their websites. So, what exactly is Google Adsense?

You’ve noticed on many websites, those “ads by Goooooogle”, followed by a number of adverts. Well visit Google themselves and you’ll see on the right, and sometimes near the top of search result pages, “Sponsored Links”. These are like the classified adverts that you see in your daily newspaper. Companies are paying to have their advert to be featured in this space, depending on the search phrases that you are typing in to the Google search box. Rather than a fixed price though, advertisers bid against each other to have their advert featured, with the highest bidder, getting the number 1 slot. This program is called “Google Adwords”.

While that proved a great success, the advertisers were limited to have their adverts only seen on Google. Then Google came up with the idea of paying website owners a percentage of the fee they get paid by the advertisers, for featuring the adverts on their own sites. This became the “Google AdSense” program.

Free to join, this program has become a popular way of adding a new income stream, but more than that, some website publishers started to build websites specifically for this Google program. Working out which adverts the advertisers were paying most for (so the percentage commissions are the highest), website publishers are building sites specifically targeting these high paying advert commissions – earning a living from sending people away from their sites!

As I say, the program is free to join, with an application to fill out, but Google must approve you before you can get started. The good news is that once you have been approved for your first website, you don’t need to apply again for any additional websites.

But before applying, you need to have a website which needs to be complete. The site must also contain what Google considers valuable content. This is the first step to making those profits. But before you think about designing your website, it is vitally important to choose a popular topic, with preferably high paying commissions – after all, you won’t profit from anything without any website visitors, no matter how good your site looks!

There are various tools on the web that you can use to check the popularity of keywords:

wordtracker. com has a valuable free report that you can download, as well as a free trial of their keyword monitoring service.

Overture. com is a company that competes with Google for placing adverts, and has a keyword research tool that also gives you the number of searches each term has had over the last month. You can find their tool here:

inventory. overture. com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

Google also has a keyword research tool for their advertisers here:

https://adwords. google. com/select/main? cmd=KeywordSandbox

Once you have identified your topic, and you know the keywords that you will target throughout the content on your website, you are ready to build your site.

The design can be straightforward – in fact, do NOT go for some overly complex site design. You want your pages to appear fast; with the visitor seeing your content and those all important Google Adsense adverts.

You also want to make sure that you have optimized your pages for the search terms you have identified. One way, is to use already published articles (on the topic in question) with reprint rights, but add an introduction, which uses the keywords/keyword phrases in explaining to the reader what the article is about.

For example, for this very article, if you were targeting the keyword phrases “Google Adsense” and “Website Publishers” you could have written:

Many web publishers are discovering the profits to be made using Google Adsense.

Vic Carrara of onlyforprofit. com gives an introduction to what Google Adsense is, and how website publishers can build income from sending people away from their websites.

- And, for emphasis, put the first line in H1 tags, with the second in H2 tags -

When your site is complete with a good range of articles on your chosen topic, it’s time to apply for a Google AdSense account. You can find the application form at google. com/services/adsense_tour/

It should only take a few days for Google to approve (or reject) your website. If, unfortunately you are rejected, simply follow Google’s advice and make the necessary changes to your site, then apply again. Reading through the information on Google’s AdSense website will help you to avoid mistakes that may get you rejected. Once approved, you will want to have a good look round all the facilities you have available, and customize your Google AdSense ads to fit in with your own website’s style and feel.

Once that is done, you can start to put Google AdSense search boxes on every page of your website, but make sure that you’ve read the terms and conditions at Google first. For instance, if you have a thank you page that visitors arrive at after signing up for a newsletter, Google AdSense ads are not to be used on that page!

You are allowed to have two ad units on each page, as well as a Google Search Box. Make use of this, using perhaps a skyscraper on either the left or right hand side of the page. Google AdSense profits experts agree that the right hand side of the page gets the most clicks. Put an additional ad unit either at the top or the bottom of each page, using the rectangle ad units.

Sidebar: There are various forums on the internet that focus on the techniques of using Google Adsense profitably. Here are a few of the more popular ones:

webmasterworld. com/forum89/

forums. searchenginewatch. com/forumdisplay. php? f=30

forums. digitalpoint. com/forumdisplay. php? f=27

Put the ads on every page that you can on your website. This includes adding the Google AdSense ads to your blogs and your forums. It may take up to twenty four hours for relevant ads to start appearing on your website pages. Until then, you will probably have a public service notice.

Once your ads appear, make sure that they are relevant to the content on your pages. If they aren’t, make changes to the pages. You might need to change the names of the HTML files, using your keywords. Adjust the keywords in your Meta tags, as well as the keywords and keyword density throughout the page content. Change the text in the title tag, and/or change t=the text of your H1 and H2 headings. Upload the new pages, and see if the ads that are appearing are more relevant. Keep working at it until they are – this is important if you want to maximize your revenue.

Sounds like hard work?

Well yes, it is while you’re learning.

But once you’ve got the hang of it, realize that you’re creating ‘hands free’ income.

Once your site is as good as it can be, and the ads that are appearing are relevant, it is time to start marketing the website. This can include a variety of current popular methods such as: pay-per-click advertising, forum marketing, article marketing, distributing newsletters to your opt-in list, participating in newsgroups and email discussion lists, using a signature file … and so on. The more traffic you can get to your site, the more clicks you will get on your Google AdSense ads.

Then what? Keep updating your website, keep marketing the site, and you will soon see Google AdSense Profits. As you learn, and as you develop an understanding on how it’s all done, you’ll probably want to create a number of sites on different topics to realize even more Google AdSense profits!

Best of luck!

Chicken recipe

These days you can go for more than a couple of days without reading an article, watching a television show or see a commercial related to the huge global problem of overweight. It is a fact that more and more people are becoming obese and the main causes are poor exercise habits and the wrong diet.

One of the problems with people’s diets is that it contains a lot of fat (and of the unhealthy kind). If people would try to focus a little more on some low fat foods like chicken the problem would at least be reduced somewhat.

For that reason I’ll give you a few of my favorite recipes to try at home and if you like it then you are free to pass them on to friends and family that might need to loose a few pounds. An idea could be to invite them all over for dinner and if they like what you have cooked for them they might ask for the recipe them selves.

I would like to give you the recipe for a Low-Fat Chicken Rice Casserole that I find really tasteful and it is easy to do.

First you heat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large saucepan you blend flour, salt and pepper. Then you stir in broth and milk. You need to keep stirring constantly while cooking over low heat, until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.

Then you bring it to boil and you stir for another 1 minute. Finally you stir in the remaining ingredients.

When finished you pour it into an NON-greased baking dish (10x6x1.5"), or a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Both will work perfectly.

Then you bake it all uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes. Before serving it you can sprinkle with snipped parsley.

The ingredients you need: 1/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour, 1 1/2 tsp Salt, 1/8 tsp Pepper, 1 Cup Nonfat chicken broth, 1 1/2 Cups Skim milk, 1 1/2 Cups Cooked Rice (White or Wild), 2 Cups Chicken breasts without skin (cooked), 4 Ounces Mushrooms and 1/3 Cup Chopped green bell pepper.

This recipe is with a serving size of 4 so if you are inviting more the 3 guests over for chicken, you will need to multiply the ingredients needed so there will be enough for everyone.

Credit card theft hurts retailers and credit card consumers

Thanks to the zero liability policy offered by most credit card issuers, if your credit card is stolen you’re typically only liable for a very small portion of the unauthorized purchases - if any. Even if a thief charges thousands of dollars on your credit card, a zero liability policy means you don’t pay for it.

You’re not the only one affected by your stolen credit card, though. The retailers who accepted the stolen credit card (not knowing it was stolen, of course) lose price of the merchandise purchased with the credit card, and also considerable amounts of time and effort as they attempt to recover some of their costs.

Who do you think pays for the costs of credit card theft? If the cardholder of the stolen credit card is not required to pay for the unauthorized charges; and the thief is rarely caught; and the retailers are out the merchandise that was purchased with the stolen credit card - who pays for all of these financial damages? Consumers. Retailers raise their prices and credit card issuers raise their interest rates and fees to help compensate for credit card theft.

So while the cardholder of the stolen credit card doesn’t pay for the unauthorized purchases; the rest of the consumers who are already paying for their purchases are paying higher fees to compensate for the stolen cards.

Attorney General Larry Long spoke to the South Dakota Retailers Association about loss prevention in Sioux Falls on April 3, 2007. Long says that retailers need a plan for how to catch shoplifters, in order to alleviate some of these escalating costs. The seminar that Long spoke at was sponsored by the South Dakota Retailers Association and aimed to assist retailers for developing strategies to stop theft, fraud and scams.

Statistics provided by The Retailers’ Association indicate an annual inventory loss of over $37 billion nationwide for theft from employees, shoplifting, vendor fraud and administrative errors.

The Vice President of Loss Prevention for the National Retail Federation based in Washington, DC, Joseph LaRocca, said they have developed a system that law enforcement and businesses can use in order to track nationwide theft. It’s a secure online database system created because LaRocca insists that the issues of theft, fraud and scams effect everyone.

Attorney General Long, and the office of the Attorney General are not directly involved in the prosecution of shoplifters and thieves, but the state assists people and businesses who have been targets of such crimes. The local law enforcement handles the prosecution. While the goal is to be advocates of consumers, Long realizes that doesn’t necessarily mean in order to do that we have to be on the opposing side of merchants and retailers.

It’s estimated that only about one out of every eight or nine cases of fraud are reported to the state’s consumer protection office. Scams and fraud are extremely common, and more so than most people fully understand. Long says, "There is not a week that goes by that we don't have at least one person who says they've been a victim of such a scam."

Under laws in South Dakota, retailers can attempt to recoup lost merchandise and expenses from the thieves. In order to effectively do this, Long believes that retailers must have a plan in place to catch shoplifters.

A plan would require retailers to effectively and properly detain thieves until law enforcement arrives once they are identified as thieves, and as Long suggests, there should be a standard policy in place for handling such activity.
